Well after establishing an itemized receipt that two sliced sandwiches,fries and a coffee was over $33 when I bout hit the floor when told the price, the manger proceeded to let me know it was Trumps fault and they can’t no longer order a pig from china without it being tarriffs. I said politely as I walked out the door I don’t want Chinese bar b que I wanted Lexington .. This ain’t nothing but the owner jacking up prices with apparently no self management. Will not recommend till they get the prices back to normal.

This was amazing! We hit Jimmy's on a Friday the 13th and we're so surprised with FREE sandwiches! Who does that? And, sooo delicious! Only one real problem. Now this MN resident needs to find a reason to be in Boone EVERY Friday the 13th. The service was so wonderful, cheeful, and well done, we loved it all! Thank you Jimmy's!

I ordered the Iowa Tornado, which is a variety of smoked meats. The brisket was dry and flavorless and no amount of sauce could save it. The turkey was basically deli meat warmed up. The ham had literally no flavor. I wasn't even sure it was actually ham. I got baked beans and potato salad for my sides and they tasted store-bought. The server was nice and attentive. There was a cook we couldn't see who was loudly whistling the entire time. I never write reviews but felt compelled to because the current rating of this place is very misleading.

I moved to Iowa from Tennessee back in 2018 and had yet to find a bbq place that I liked. All of the ones I have tried paled in comparison to Memphis BBQ. I was filling in at a store there in Boone and started talking about my search for good bbq here in Iowa. The supervisor suggested this place. I’m sure the expression on my face said it all when I took my first bite. It was so delicious and full of flavor. I’m going to have to make some special trips to Boone just so I can enjoy their bbq ❤️

I was just there tonight for dinner with my two young boys. Both waitresses were so extremely kind and helpful helping me with the boys and getting me anything I needed. Thank you so much. I eat here at least once a week, such good food at an amazing price!

Everything I ordered was room temp at best. I got the combo with all the sliced meats , none were sliced and very very very dry. Server was great. Food was terrible. I travel a lot for work and always try to support local businesses, but frankly would have been better off with a freezer meal than that garbage. Someone should protest cruelty to animals at this joint.
Our experience was not something we expected, they were out of ribs and tips which was fine, our server seemed liked she hated her job and her and the cook were talking about the business closing and how the owner doesn't care because he has other business' the food was shaved meat from a deli and dry brisket. Won't be returning.

I like Jimmy's BBQ food but not Jimmy as an owner. My wife and I were eating at Jimmy's and it was great food and our (I assume) high school server was also great. Until Jimmy came out with a pretty sour attitude. Ended up making server cry and the room feel awkward. Tipped waitress well and let her know she was worth more than Jimmy showed.
