Food was excellent. Had the sloppy joe and breaded mushrooms. Drinks were perfect. Gin and tonic and bloody mary. The atmosphere was awesome. Played pool and darts. Overall had a great time.

Laid back small town bar. Very expansive food menu. Everyone is very friendly. Bob, Dani and staff have all been very pleasant. I visit often now that its under new management. You should too! 💯

If you're in Brandon, Iowa and hankering for more than just vending machine snacks, you need to go to Phat's Pub & Grub. We heard the place is under new management, and they seem to be doing well. My boyfriend and I stopped here for an early dinner after walking into town on the Cedar Valley Nature Trail. I got the appetizer combo - I liked that you can pay $15 and pick three different appetizers, and it was enough for a meal, or to share. My boyfriend got the chicken burger with fries and pasta salad. Everything tasted great, the server was friendly and quick. Cash only here, but there is an ATM inside. Full bar. PS - while you're in town, make sure to swing by Iowa's largest frying pan on your way out!
