Fun local place, worth a visit. Had a tasty ruben, the pie and ice cream looked enticing. Good friendly local crowd and only a short trip from I 80. Worthy escape from typical interstate adjacent chains for something more unique!

This is a gem hidden in the small town of Brooklyn, Iowa where the food is original and delicious, the space antique but clean and peaceful, and the staff constantly polite. Everyone should give it a try!

We were passing by and stopped for beef and noodles. It was excellent. It had a butter volcano.

What a great surprise! We were looking for something new for a date night and any time we see a joint with prime rib, we are anxious to try it. Now we've been chasing the high of a prime rib we had somewhere in Wisconsin around 1t years ago and no one has come close... Until NOW.
15 years and barely 15 miles from home, there it was, just waiting for us. Boom, 10/10 we finally found it.
We were so NOT distracted by the cozy, small diner atmosphere and actually connecting at our table that I never even remembered to pick up my phone and take a picture of the meal, sorry (not sorry)!
Service was great, price was great, apps and meals were out quick but not so quick we were shuffling plates. Just perfect.
We will be back to try the myriad of other menu options that looked equally amazing. So glad we found you all!

Real food. We both had the meatloaf special. Delicious. Great ice cream - hubby got a caramel shake. Awesome homemade pies- got a slice of pecan and superb cherry pie to go. Great taste and crust! Worth the short drive north of I80. Charming small town.

The restaurant is very clean, the service impeccable and attentive. I had the ribs, heavy for lunch but the price was great. They did not disappoint! Fantastic food! I will be back!!

Had coconut cream pie. It was the worst pie I believe I ever had in my life. I looked like it had been sitting around in a fridge for days. The meringue was flat, the filing was flavorless, had roasted coconut on top but that did nothing for it. I have tasted a lot of pies in Iowa and cannot understand how this made the list.
