Great little restaurant! The menu is pretty standard.
We both ordered philly sandwiches-- one beef, one chicken. Both were well seasoned with tender meat and perfectly grilled veggies and melted cheese. The buns were fresh and soft. They handled a special request (no mayo) with no problem. The included crinkle fries were a good side.
The waitress was wonderful. We arrived within the hour of closing time and she was very friendly.
The decor is adorable and relaxed.
This was my first time to this restaurant, but my friend had been there before and she likes eating there when she's in town. She said their tenderloin is really good.
It's a nice local restaurant and I look forward to returning there the next time I'm in the area.

Typical small town cafe where you know the food is either going to be amazing or the whole experience will be a letdown. The food was quite amazing and the service was great as well. We had a group of four, and it was all great. Smash burgers, tenderloin and chicken fried steak. The only oddity was the chicken fried steak was chicken. Still fantastic but unexpected. Smash burgers were flavorful and big - would definitely go back. If you’re looking for a fine dining experience - this isn’t it. If you want great food, and don’t mind a rustic atmosphere with imperfections - give it a try. I’ll definitely be back.

very clean place food for the most part was descent but we waited over 2 hrs and was getting ready to leave when we finally got our order. The freinds that was with us took another 45 minutes till they heard complaints and the owner was very apologetic and on a good day might have been different but i thought food was over priced cost me 31 dollars for a hamburger salad and roast beef plate she figured bill twice but came out the same.

My wife and I decided to stop when we came to town. We were both hungry for a tenderloin. We both had the Fox Country Pork tenderloin. Sorry I didn't take a photo! It was large and perfectly done.. The slice of ham, bacon, and cheddar cheese made this a great tenderloin. The fries were just as good as well! First time that I have ever had a slice of ham on a tenderloin. We highly recommend this sandwich! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Customer service was great as well! If you happen to be in the area of Cantril, Iowa and your hungry please stop!. Great food, great service, and we will be back! Thank you!

Service was awful. Only saw our waitress once in the hour we waited for food. Never got any refills on drinks. Ordered two entrees. Only one entree came after an hour. Waited another 20 minutes and still no second entree. Many other customers frustrated with wait and poor service. Don’t waste your time. Go to Bloomfield if looking for lunch or dinner after visiting the Dutchman’s store.

We ordered the special and it took 45 minutes to get it. It was barely warm. It was 11:15 am maybe 6 people in the restaurant, including 2 of us. Then, they thought I might want to leave a tip. Nope. Lemonade was good. Very disappointed.
Great food, friendly staff and great atmosphere! We had wonderful hot roast beef and tenderloins. Clean and great decor.

Been there twice - got the tenderloin both times, enjoyed it both times. The first time we went it was pretty dead inside and food came quickly. This time they were around 50% capacity and it took over 30 minutes for our food to come out for 4 of us. Other than the long wait this one time, we were very happy both times we ate there.
