Average mex food at best. Extremely salty and proportions are always off. Order is wrong half the time. We ordered breakfast burritos here once and there were no eggs in them. No eggs, in a breakfast burrito. How you mess that up I have no idea. Lack of concern for quality control would be my guess. Unfortunately the options for mex food in Carroll are limited and what’s available is pretty much garbage across the board and this place is no different.

This is the best Abelardo's in Iowa, period. I've tried them all in des moines and ames (the worst) their burritos are big and tasty, the quesadillas and nachos are fire too.

Clean restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food. Either the beans or rice is a little too salty for my taste. But so delicious. I’m glad we found a place to get delicious Carne Asada.

Wow. Food was absolutely amazing. I travel and eat all over and this place was great. The chips were very fresh and tasted so good. The salsa bar included a roasted salsa that was incredible. Good prices for what you get. These guys are doing it right.

Change your posted hours if you're going to close before they say. The food is great but I was not only able to place an order online at 10.03pm when they claimed they were closed but was also charged and not refunded for several days. The website and posted hours on the restaurant itself say open till 11 but I've been there several times after 10 and they're closed.
