Hy-Vee Market Grille

Ate here a few nights ago with my family and was given a take-out dish when I was eating in the restaurant. This has happened several times to me even after I talked with management it still happened. I seriously would not recommend this place. Management does nothing to correct this. Some of the workers act like they are lazy. I guess I got to pay more to get an actual plate instead of a take-out dish. Doesn't even deserve one star!

Do y'all carry our minimally processed dairy?

Ate breakfast this morning and was seated by a waitress. Well she was never to be found again. 30 min roll by and another waitress asks if we have been helped told her no so she proceeds to take our order and drinks. Well another 20 mins roll by and multiple ppl seated after us had already ate paid and left. Finally we get the attention of Tim and he finds the server and she’s tells she forgot about us then finally brought our drinks. 20 mins more roll by and finally we get our food served by Alexis and dad is upset and makes a comment about how long we have been waiting and very snotty Alexis says well I’m sorry sir we were busy. Except we were there before all the other people who had already sat ate and paid….6-7 tables came ate and left that all came after us and by no means was the place full. Now here’s the great part. All of our food was Luke warm or cold, didn’t get what we had asked for. Dads gravy was separated and congealed and if your a cook you know that’s cuz it had been sitting out. My omlet was under cooked and potatoes were not good. My cinnamon roll was hard and crunchy on the outside and tasted stale so I only ate the center. My husband’s pancakes tasted like straight grease. Dads sausage was so hard we could have used it for hockey pucks and moms food was just disgusting. Alexis again just said well I’m sorry sir we were busy in the nastiest way she could muster. There’s no excuse for straight garbage food and garbage service. We couldn’t eat our meals they were so bad. I’m sick to my stomach and my husband and dad went to McDonald’s to get something to eat afterwards. Oh also when checking out we had to go get our own tickets and the cashier-the one who forgot about us originally- sighs hard and shoved our bills at us. Our checks were even wrong but at that point we just said screw it and paid. My parents bill was $27 and our bill was $28 for inedible food and for bad service and Alexis snotty attitude. We will never eat here again. Never in my life have I been treated poorly had had such terrible food. Avoid eating here at all costs. I won’t even try wahlburgers now knowing those same waitresses work wahlburgers

Terrible service

Used to be the best place for breakfast, good prices and great food. Last two visits were a nightmare. Waitress was new, working alone for some reason. Had to repeat what I wanted 4 times. She kept pulling her mask down. Not busy, no food after 35 minutes. Left.

Took forever to get our food food was cold so pancakes were burnt waited an hour

Used to love going here. Went for breakfast stood there waiting for service for about 10min. Several employees walked past us didn't greet us so we just walked out.

They reset the Carroll store a couple years ago and had multiple isles for similar products. For example, instead of having all of the chips& snacks in one isle, they were spread between 3-4 isles. Within the last month, the store has been reset once AGAIN. This is incredibly irresponsible during a pandemic. Instead of a quick grocery run, it now takes 2-3 times longer because patrons don’t know where products are at, and isles are not correctly labeled. Similar products that you would expect to be together, are once again spread out between multiple isles. Having worked retail in the past, I’ve NEVER heard of any type of store reset this drastically nor this often.

Used to eat here 2 times a week. Now they switched from menu style to a burger shop style ordering. Will NOT be coming back.

Market Grille is always an excellent choice. Some of the best food in Carroll if your willing to wait while they make it . It's worth waiting for unless your in a hurry. People are usually excellent. It is clean.
