What a great little hotel bar. Unique atmosphere, great bartender, great place to kick back and have a drink. They don't serve food but you can order from the hotel

This Hotel was in terrible shape they are trying to fix it up but it’s awful there is building materials every where the carpet is terrible it’s not finished and is very out dated. In our room which was half way remolded half the walls painted and half not our sliding door to the parking lot barely opened it was so unappealing outside our door you couldnt sit outside and yet our room was depressing you didn’t want to be in there either we had just one towel each and one soap we asked for more as we thought we were staying 4 nights We wanted to leave early but would not refund anything finally we did leave one day early but we had to do that before 6 pm the day before We paid over 605.00 this was a total rip off We were there to visit family so we stayed a way as much as we could! This was supposed to be a king studio with a couch but you didn’t want to sit on it! Also was supposed to have a breakfast what a joke the milk for the cereal was sour coffee awful juice flat! This hotel is full of people working somewhere Lots of coming and going We found other places to eat we could leave there fast enough . It was a special event place but not now

The bartenders there are very nice. Treat you like a friend instead of just some person walking in off the street..

It is a nice historic property is centrally located, close to the Inner Harbour and Little Italy. Our room was comfortable, cozy, and decorated nicely. Unfortunately, it wasn't kept as clean as we had hoped for, and we were unable to utilize the jacuzzi because it was dirty. Another issue was the (included) breakfast, which was nicely resented, but neither tasty nor nutritious. The lovely property needs to be kept up and breakfast needs to be improved. The most pleasant was the staff, who was always ready to assist. (Specially the night-shift receptionist) Overall, a nice place in an excellent location which requires a bit of TCL.

The hotel room was nice, clean and comfortable. The free breakfast, however was nothing to write home about. I would stay again but eat elsewhere. Enjoyed the attached Baratta’s Steakhouse very much. I would recommend asking for a room on the back side since they have sliding doors so you can easily park and get to your car from your room. Nice place to have an event and the staff were nice.

On cross country road trip. Found this wonderful Inn on Trip Advisor. Staff couldn’t have more helpful. Love how they actually answer phone and make reservations as opposed to chain hotels. Got questions answered that way that made checkin smoother. You can reserve online if you wish. Whole place is extremely clean. Room was spotless. Kudos to the sweet little maid. Bed very comfortable. Newer linens and towels. Good quality. Good shower pressure. Immediate hot water. Coffee in room. Connected to decent restaurant for dinner Only negatives: sparse breakfast , pool closed. Since we were only staying one night , this didn’t bother us.

Layne was the front desk clerk when we checked in, he was extremely professional and polite. What impressed my husband and I the most is that he checked us in nicely, then he went back to sweeping and mopping---- he kept himself busy and looked for things that needed done. Quite impressive---- as you don't seem to see that much often --- happy with the stay and room.

Staying here at the Carrollton has been a Huge Disappointment! We stayed 2 nights in the Bridal suite spending $140 per night and renting the room with 3 Queens for my family witch were 4 young girls and 2 adults. That room costed the same as the suite. So spending close to $400 in rooms only because they had a pool, that they shut down right before we we're going to utilize this fun feature. That was almost impossible to even get in the pool door when the desk person won't give the pool code to enter. Since I had an attitude she shut the pool down! Told me they didn't have enough disinfectant in the water. So Really, she was mad and made this story up to get even with me and shut the pool down. They are not part of a franchise so they can screw people over. All the manager offered me was a $10 discount. Their breakfast is a joke... they blame it on covid but how many restaurants have dine in right now? Almost All... even Pizza Ranch is running their buffet. Truly this hotel was a bummer all the way around. I recommend to stay in another hotel because they won't make it right with you and still charge you the same rate as they do when you get all the extras that they have. I paid alot of money for a crappy hotel. After we all left the Carrollton hotel and on my way home, (thats on the other side of Iowa) I get a phone call from the front desk asking if I checked out as I have. They are saying payment isn't going through. I have all the pending charges of 3 room payments that are 2 $135.00 charges and a $140.00 charge. There's also $5 and a 10.00 charge and have no clue why these charges are even on my account or what they would be from???? I can't talk to the desk person because she will not be quite so I can explain. I've also sent emails that have attachments showing the pending charges on my account. I called back again and tried telling her I've sent an email to please look at it and she still wouldn't shut up and listen to me. This hotel is AWFUL!!!!

They are now charging extra and double for no reason and the lady on the phone when we call to get it stopped is very rude. They shut down the pool after we had to call and ask for the code we went back to our room and change we come back down and it’s closed ?

Showed up at 12:30pm and could not find an attendant. Look around for 5 minutes and finally noticed she was eating in the back. We had a 14 month old who needed a nap and she insisted that there was a $15 fee to check in before two and was extremely rude about it. We got the room and paid extra. My brother and his wife arrived at 2 and tried to get a room next to us(we requested this when booking). Crystal(the same attendant) was once again rude and expressed that their block rate would not be honored because the rooms were all booked. On top of that she located my brother in the furtherest possible room from us she could find and said all other rooms were unavailable. She was short with us and was unhappy to answer any questions we had as her 2nd lunch was delivered while we were at the desk. We have family in Carroll and visit often but we definitely will not be staying here again.

Front desk person was very unprofessional. My reservation was booked and paid for through a travel agency and the hotel had no information, therefore, I had to pay for the room personally. Second, the room had a skunk smell when I entered it, had to spray fabreeze to get rid of smell. Bedding was wrinkled and had to inspect the bed to make sure that it was even changed after the last occupant. I definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Third, I've stayed at Super 8 Hotels that have much nicer rooms at a lot cheaper price.

The best small town hotel I have ever stayed at!! Beds are fantastic and service is amazing. I also enjoyed a perfectly cooked sirloin at the steakhouse located within the property. They also have a Peloton bike in their workout facility but unfortunately it was being used so I had to pass on that this time. This will be my go to Hotel when I am in the area from now on. #HIDDENGEM

This is a nice hotel with very friendly people and very comfortable beds. If you like quiet rooms be sure you get an odd room number. That means that you won’t be facing the street and also trains may come by at night on occasion and you’re less likely to hear the horn. I would stay here again and expect that I will.

the room heater. I froze the first night because no matter how I set the temp, it continued to blow cold air. I told the front desk about it in the morning and they sent someone to fix it right away. That night I sweltered. I couldn’t get it set cool enough for comfort. Otherwise, the inn was clean and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable. I would stay there again.....but would hope to get a room with a properly functioning hvac unit.
