Years ago we met a few times a year halfway in Carroll and usually eat at the same spot. This time I wanted something new and I got it. We arrived at 4:30 on a Saturday and the place was already starting to fill up. We ordered the yummy dill pickle spears before we ordered off the special 5 pm menu. Food was okay. Onion rings greasy and they are those skinny kind, not the large and juicy ones. The environment overall was very festive and upbeat, table of ladies who had too much to drink next to us. The dessert was a joke - called a “7 Layer Chocolate Cake” it was stupid small and a ripoff. We complained to the waitress and she acted like she thought we were joking. Couple of young staff spent more time gazing into each other’s eyes than pre-bussing, seating, or helping...
