Came from Illinois on Fri. June 27th just to pull in the parking lot to see a sign on the door that said closed from June 23rd to July 10th. Very disappointed. Looked on your website before we left home at 3:30 and it said opens at 4:00. Again why would you not put on your website that you were going to be closed those dates. Poor management!!!

Ham was dry and no garnishment. Hand cut fries were greasy. Hamburger steak was over cooked. Over priced food. Tables to close together, overall a very bad first time visit. Fell short of what we've come to expect from a Kalmes family restaurant.

Not a good night. Not approached at table for 15 minutes. Ordered drinks and dinner at same time. 15 minutes to get drinks, 45 minutes to get food. Prime rib ordered rare but delivered medium well. Baked potatoes brown inside. Bartender asked how everything was when we paid out, we told her problems, and she said sorry about that. No effort to call manager or otherwise compensate us for our disastrous experience. Really no sincerity in response.

You won’t find a place like this in your big cities. No drive through here. From their home made soups that are just like mom makes to the salad bar that could be a meal in it self. The food here is almost as great as the employees. The ownes are there every night. The staff has a flow to it that you could easily for get your at a restaurant. It feels like a great family gathering. You’ll want to back time and time again. Definitely worth the drive

What a wonderful throwback restaurant. It takes you back to supper clubs of the 50's and 60's. Great salad bar with lots of variety. They even had home-made cinnamon rolls and brownies. Our server (Laura-Laurie) was fantastic. My wife and I had the prime rib (excellent!). My sister had the filet mignon and her husband had the ribs. We were all very pleased with the entire experience!

Had dinner with some friends here last night. The bartender made my martini perfectly! Our server was great as well, very accommodating. I had the prime rib and it was simply melt in your mouth delicious. The au jus was perfect as well, not overly salty. We will be back!

It's a dinner club. Catfish was solid. Large party, food came out fairly prompt w/ only one meal lagging off from the rest. Came here for my grandma's bday, everyone seemed to enjoy it.

Made a spur of the moment stop on our way back from shopping. And a little ashamed to say this was my first time there. Wont be our last! Has all of the true supper club feels, great salad bar and staff. Prime rib and grasshopper were wonderful. Almost ordered the brosted cheocken after I saw a table next to me get it. Can't wait to go back!

My husband got the chicken fried steak and it was like eating leather.

Great old time supper club in cascade Iowa. Prices are reasonable, food is very good. Been eating there for over 5 years and have never had a bad meal. Staff is friendly. Sometimes it takes a while due to being busy. If you haven’t tried it you should.
