I read the reviews and decided to give it a shot. I went to the restaurant on a Saturday night right at 5pm. It wasn't crowded but it wasn't empty either. I was seatted immediately. I had chips and salsa on the table within 2 minutes and my drink was on the table within 5 minutes.
I order within 10 minutes and my food hit the table within 20 minutes of me walking in the door. The food was visually appealing and hot. I ordered the El Combo Special to try a few different items. Every food item was your standard Mexican restaurant type food. All of it was your average flavor profile. It isn't top shelf but it was good. I ate all of it and was satisfied with it.
The wait staff were clean cut and nicely dressed. They were all very polite and did their jobs well. I would go back there again .

The food was mediocre at best. The service left a lot to be desired and to top of off they charge you almost 4 dollars if you pay by card and don't even bother to tell you until you question my they charged you more than what the bill stated. Never again will I return here. If the local people think this is good food I really suggest they try kirksville or somewhere else and get a taste of good Mexican food. I suppose living in small town Iowa you take what you get. I really don't understand how they have managed to make it as long as they have.

Taco Salad too soupy at the bottom resulting in a very soggy shell.

This was my first visit, had my daughter in law, & 2 grandkids with, & after a long busy day of traveling & family fun. I was just wanting get to our destination & relax. All 4 of us were extremely glad we choose La Fiesta. The salad & chips are amazing! Definitely will be stopping again, when in the area!

Parking: I have mobility issues, & use everything from a cane to wheel chair to get around safely. Normally, I use my extra wide walker to get in/out of restaurants. However I was able to get in with just my cane! Even after a long busy day.

Kid-friendliness: It was extremely child welcoming atmosphere.
