I grew up in Chariton and I’ve been very excited to watch the development of The Charitone and the square over the last several years. This past week, we decided to take a road trip, and Iron Horse at The Charitone was our choice for lunch. Great menu, and our server Nevaeh was wonderful. Our group ordered the tenderloin sandwich, the pastrami Reuben, the House Burger, and the crispy chicken salad. Everything was delicious, drinks were kept filled…very pleasant lunch. Highly recommend!

We dropped in for lunch and service and food were excellent. I had the dirty bird sandwich which is smoked turkey and bacon on sourdough. Very good!

I had the Stake Deburgo. It was awesome! Perfectly aged and prepared, tender and juicy! The only complaint, is the garlic red mash potatoes could have been a little larger portion.

Server was friendly and attentive even though the place was busy. Took awhile to get our food which was good although not as warm as it could have been.
