Last week I decided to try a new coffee house… Christy at the Garrison House did not disappoint!! The customer service was excellent and she is so genuinely nice! :) The scones were fresh baked and absolutely delicious! My coworkers and my kids all agreed on how good they were! My iced coffee was perfect. So glad I didn’t go to Scooters! Shop local & support small businesses. You won’t be disappointed if you give the Garrison House a try. I will definitely be a repeat customer when I’m in Clarinda :)

10/10 !!!!100% recommend this coffee shop. We drove an hour to stay at the Airbnb above the coffee shop. Everything was phenomenal. My husband said it was the best coffee and breakfast sandwich he has ever had! The blueberry scones are amazing and my cappuccino was perfect! We will definitely be back! The building is beautiful and the ambience is gorgeous. Very historical yet contemporary feel to it. Well done to the owner and the team she works with. Very clean! And I love all the different furniture! Can't say enough about this place!

If you are out this way on a trip and fancy a quick bite and coffee, I highly recommend this place. The staff is fast in service, all of the food served was delicious, the place was clean, the bathroom for the men was clean, and the dining room was turn of the century charming. I had coffee, a brisket sandwich, coleslaw, and a scone. I enjoyed every bite, but the Mrs. took half my scone!!
Parking: I dislike street parking but that's what you have here.
Just don’t. I love how small town people think they do whatever and treat people how they want to bc there are no other options. Next time I’ll go thru Mcdonalds so I don’t have to wait 30 minutes on a plain bagel. No cream cheese. Just a plain bagel.
And God forbid you ask, you will be told “I’m getting to it” while continually taking orders instead of putting my bagel on a paper plate.

My daughter and I came in and being first time visitors we wasn't sure how things worked. We were not greeted or helped the service people just kept doing what they were doing so we left. Kinda sad ?
