We love riding the Rolling Prarie trail and stopping at Pete and Shorty's. Friendly staff, great food and cold beer. This establishment has been open a long time for a good reason.
4 of us visited around 12:30pm. It was quite busy at that time. We sat way towards the back of restaurant. Our server took our drink and food orders right away. From our table we could see the action in the kitchen. Again, it was very busy, and I believe it was just the 1 woman working the grill. And she was constantly at work. Thankfully we were in absolutely no rush, because it took a long, long, long, time to get our food. And then there was a problem with one of our burgers...
Pete and Shorty's is a nice little bar in Clarksville Iowa. If you're hungry for some fish they have a fish sandwich called the Big Bob I would recommend I think they make their tartar sauce in house but I'm not 100% sure. My husband had the chicken strips & we both had a side salad.
