Had a bachelor party dinner here last night with 20 guys. We let them know a month or so ahead of time and they were more than ready for us. Food was great, service was even better! They accommodated us all at one large table and we were in and out of there in a very reasonable amount of time. Thanks for having us!
The new owners of That Place treat their employees bad. Ran one employee who had been there 15 years out and she was a good waitress . Wouldn’t even give her a reason, just quit giving her hours on the schedule. I hope those who go there and always enjoyed her service will stop going there

Our service was very good our waitress was very friendly and did a good job! Appetizer was good we had the combination platter. Our meals were on the expensive side my steak was not done as I had requested the shrimp was all breading. My husband's ham steak was ice cold waitress was kind and returned it to the kitchen to be fixed properly. When the bill came and we paid with debit card we found they charged 4% to the customers that's outrageous they don't even charge that much in Ames or Des Moines !!! You need to look into another service and stop passing the expense onto the consumer unfortunately with that 4% not much was left for a tip for our waitress Won't be returning and wont be recommending this restaurant Our entrees were very disappointing for the price we paid and then to find out the 4% charge !That's outrageous!!

I had the ham stake and my wife had shrimp and stake.
My Ham Stake was cold when I got it and my wife's stake was way to rare and shrimp tasted horrible. The cost was way over price and then changed me a 4% fee to use my debit card. I would like to support small town restaurants it's a bit hard to when food is bad and the price is way to high.

The quality of food has declined since the new owners took over, especially the steaks. To-go orders are frequently incorrect, which only adds to the disappointment. Sad that this is no longer a reliable favorite.
