This evening I ordered a taco salad and asked to have the taco meat drained well because in the past the taco meat saturates the bottom of the taco shell and makes it inedible. It arrives with taco meat that was not drained. I did mentioned to the waiter that it was not drained….he walked away. I ate what wasn’t soggy. The waiter returned and asked if everything was alright. I replied “no my taco salad is not right.” Again he walked off. My family finished their meals and I walked up to the counter to pay the paid the entire bill. No discount for my salad that was not made correctly. Do not recommend. Zero stars
Love this place! I go here every time I camp at whiterock conservancy. They have great service and great prices. Food is amazing! One of my fav Mexican restaurants in Iowa.

Went tonight for dinner for the first time and it was amazing! We just moved to the area and this is definitely going to be a regular go to for Friday nights. Great food and an excellent margarita special. Can't wait to come back!

So the point of a restaurant is eating food and everything else is incidental. After this last round of ownership changes, they started out strong, but now you’re better off eating Styrofoam packing peanuts. I made a trip just to get their refried beans which are fabulous… Or were rather. Now the refried beans just have some heat, but no flavor; I tried the chicken pork and beef, and it was like they’ve never heard of spices or salt. Another member of our group got a burrito Rio Grande and it smelled delicious from 10 feet away and she looked like she was having an orgasm while eating it. If you’re going here, I would recommend fajitas because they’re made fresh and it seems as though everyone else enjoys them a lot but my wife and I were annoyed that this restaurant has gone downhill so badly. Oh, I should add that. It is extremely unfriendly for anyone that needs a walker or wheelchair. Inside the restaurant is OK, but trying to get in… Forget about it.

After having to flee from a unwelcoming establishment, we were welcomed with open arms at La Terraza. The queso was flowing, the guacwas rocking, and the good times wouldn't stop! Thanks Esmerelda for being so friendly! Highly recommend!

Their salsa & both our dishes had good flavor. (The one pictured is the enchiladas suizas.)
Friendly & kind service.
I appreciated that their margaritas weren't too sweet.
The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because the floor had quite a bit of trash that needed picked up (e.g. napkins, straw wrappers). Seeing that makes me wonder about cleanliness in other areas.
