Stumbled upon Patti's Pitstop. Didn't know the place next to Casey's was a restaurant. Happy I noticed it was a restaurant because the service was amazing and the food was very good. It might look like a mechanic shop but it's actually a restaurant I would say give it a chance because it is very good.

Patti's Pit stop is literally the perfect BBQ place. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. The portions of food are very generous. I highly recommend this place!

Just stopped for gas at the gas station across from this place around lunch time. I went to go check patties pit stop out and was immediately greeted by everyone. It felt like i was seeing family. I got the jalapeño popper brisket sandwich deal they had with a side of the mac salad. The price was fair. The food was absolutely amazing and I will probably be making the drive from cedar rapids to here at some point strictly to eat here again. She said they also that they are doing some charity work by handing out meals which is awesome. Definitely a place ide eat again!

Patti’s pitstop may look like a gas station but Patti can cook!
This is home cooking that warms your soul.
You’ll feel like you stopped at your favorite aunt’s house and she welcomes you with open arms into her cozy quirky kitchen.
Pulled pork and brisket was smokey tender and succulent, and the bbq sauce had the perfect twang.
The pork n beans were delicious- more pork than beans, exceeding the rank of a side dish and could be a main course.
The exquisite cheese burger hit all the marks: hand made patty juicy thick in the middle with tapered edges that crisped and charred, topped with a blend of grated cheeses like flowed solder onto the meat, inside bun lightly grilled to sustain the filling. I got it all - layers of iceberg lettuce, authentic tomato, crisp onions, quartered pickle slices, ketchup mustard and mayo.
Just what we needed on a long drive between South Dakota and Illinois!

Our 1st time trying Patti's Pitstop in Correctionville and it won't be our last ! First off, very friendly and helpful..second both our meals were FANTASTIC and made FRESH.I had the Chinese special with the hottest ,lightly breaded, all white meat chicken and fried rice, the veggies in the rice were perfection! My husband picked the fatboy sandwich,it was VERY BIG he ate it with a fork...and said it was REALLY GOOD.. we also shared the best crab Rangoons !!Visited with a nice couple from Chicago that enjoyed stopping at unique places to eat ..and this place is unique as it inside an old gas station..thank you for the great meal,we plan on coming back...

I wanted to leave a review on your Facebook page but I can’t post on your page so I’ll message you.

“Today on my way back from a conference near Sioux Falls we stopped at the Correctionville Casey’s gas station next to Patti’s Pit Stop. As I filled up we happened to see the signs near the road and the signs on the building of the old station building boasting of brisket, ribs, pulled pork and more. About that same time a fella wearing overalls stepped out the front door of the shop looked at us as we were refueling our truck and waved at us being friendly. Thinking that it was lunch time and that we were getting hungry that friendly wave sealed the deal. After we refueled the truck we pulled over next door and went inside where we met “Cowboy” our cashier and cook and was immediately welcomed in. After looking at the menu wall and asking our questions we settled on a BBQ Burrito and a Train Wreck grilled sandwich with sides. (next time I’m trying the pork nachos!) When the food came out Cowboy brought us both their original bbq sauce as well as their special Habanero Mango sauce of the week. Let me tell you, this was some of the best BBQ I’ve had in ages and being from Des Moines there are plenty of places in the metro to choose from but none compared to this little shop. This food was AMAZING. I’m surprised the location didn’t have standing room only because if this place was better known about there wouldn’t be an empty seat in the house! This is like Correctionville’s greatest best kept secret! You’ve got to try this! The only bad thing about this experience was the realization that Des Moines where I live is nearly three hours away! You’ve got to try this food!

Small business, but excellent food. Tbone was nice and tender, crab legs were excellent. Bang bang shrimp only slightly spicy. Garlic parm shrimp was great.

Food was fantastic and the people were extremely friendly. BBQ sauce was delicious. Only problem was they would not share their recipes for the sauce or the bacon dill mac. Will stop by again when in the area. Disappointed we were only passing through.
