712 Eat + Drink

I wanted to luv this place soooo bad, we went when it wasn’t really busy on a Friday, the food was beautiful but had absolutely NO flavor and it had sauces on it? ???? My husband bit Into a quarter size piece of hard grissle in his Cubano that had barely any meat on it and that made him stop eating instantly..I don’t get it…too bad…my mom always said say something nice soooooo….the ranch was good 🤷🏼‍♀️

Burnt cheeseburger non eaten cheeseburger and manager wanted us to pay 50%, with no offer to replace. Worst restaurant experience ever.

I visit 402 weekly. The staff there is the best and friendliest staff in Omaha. I go to 712 monthly. But this morning I had the worst experience. They messed up our reservation. They didn’t seem to care. We Asked if we could move to the bar and the waiter threw a fit. Got attitude with us and made a snide comment to us after we ordered our food at the bar from the bartender who asked to take our order. Then gave us a dirty look. The staff seemed annoyed we were there ordering drinks and food. Then finally at the end we had one friendly waitress check us out. It was my friends’ first time after I have been talking the place up. They will not be coming back.

I ordered a ribeye medium rare to go. It took me 5 minutes from pickup until I got home. The steak was like shoe leather, but somehow still gray on the outside. Very disappointing. The sides were good the carrot cake was very moist and delicious. But, my primary desire was a good steak and this was NOT. $38 is a lot to spend for a thin, overdone, nearly impossible to cut piece of meat.

Love going to 712 and have yet to have a bad time! The staff are so accommodating between splitting portions or a switch of tables. Recently I had their brunch hangover burger and I couldn’t have gotten enough! I also highly recommend their seafood pasta. All in all it’s a wonderful time and I hope they continue their success!

Great happy hour prices on drinks & appetizers. Food was very good and fresh and plentiful. Service was top notch. Menu prices seemed a bit high.

We had eaten here once before and it was satisfactory. So we decided to go a second time. The waitress must have been new as she was very poor. We weren’t greeted. We had to initiate the order process. We had to ask for the specials and silverware. Our order was salmon dish. It was undercooked based on the very pink inside. Eating undercooked/uncooked fish can be a health disaster, as I can attest. I don’t expect to eat there again.
