Just got 2 pulled pork combos to go. pork was dry & not pulled, just a few chunks of pork, we took the time to pull it & it was still to dry. $ 51 for food we gave to the dog. the mac & cheese was good. Tim frink

Burnt ends were the best I’ve ever had. Cornbread was also very good.

We decided to try Boxer again last Friday and it was very disappointing. It was take out and all of us ordered a pulled pork sandwich. The meat was lukewarm at best and we live fairly close to the restaurant. There was not a great deal of meat on any of the sandwiches and some were quite fatty and some had large burnt chunks as seen in the picture. The flavor was not great and overall just not very good pulled pork.

Two were combos and with one of the sandwiches, we ordered a side order of fries, which were good, but maybe 15 fries for $5 is a bit extreme. The cheesy hashbrowns were also pretty good The coleslaw was fine, basic, and tasted like it came from Hy Vee.

Boxer used to have pretty solid BBQ, but things have changed over time and they are not what they used to be. BBQ Brothers continues to be my go to for BBQ as their food and quality is much better and they are highly recommended.

They have totally changed the menu, very disappointed in the remaining choices. Ordered the 2 meat plate-- chicken breast was quite dry.

Boxer has been a long time favorite of ours and still is! Check out the new streamlined menu. My wife and I tried a couple new items and were not disappointed! Very creative take on smoked meats, salads, and sandwiches. Great desserts, cocktails, and a very nice wine list. All topped off by a great atmosphere and awesome staff. They're the best!

I rarely write reviews, but I hope this helps someone else. My husband and I visited for the first time on Tuesday. Atmosphere was good, it's a nice looking place. It wasn't busy only 3-4 other tables. Our server was friendly and helpful, offering great suggestions as we navigated the menu.

We started with the Moink balls, which arrived quickly and tasted great—but unfortunately, they were barely warm. For our main course, we shared the three-meat plate: We chose the beef brisket, the rack of ribs, and the pulled pork. Our sides were cheesy hash browns and baked beans.

Sadly, most of the food arrived lukewarm or cold, except for the ribs, which were hot and delicious. The brisket had good flavor, but about half the portion was fatty and inedible. The pulled pork was just okay, but since it was cold, we didn’t eat much of it. The cheesy hash browns were tasty but would’ve been much better hot. As for the baked beans, neither of us cared for them—they weren’t warm and had an overpowering spice (possibly cloves or cinnamon) that didn’t work for us.

We didn’t want to wait for everything to be remade, so we chalked it up as a loss. For one appetizer and a shared entrée, our total came to around $50 with tip—which felt steep given the experience. We left underwhelmed and still hungry.
