First time trying this place and ordered take out over the phone. Was disappointed that they got our order wrong. I asked for 2 x 3 items, both the same with ribs, brisket and chicken. One order was minus brisket and had catfish instead. Wasn't too happy about that. Food was really good. We will go again but will make sure we get what we ordered.

Would absolutely never recommend again. Boxer used to be my favorite bbq place in the midwest we’ve had them cater multiple functions—until they hired the condescending host they have now— told me i should leave during my birthday dinner because someone in our party was late and I’ve been waiting two months for a resolution
All on in all, we had a good meal at the Boxer. Everyone liked there BBQ. They had a power outage the night before, so things were a little out of whack there that day. I plan to go back and see if they can go from 4 to 5 stars.

We may eat there again but will not go out of our way to go back. We had an appetizer: a small order of Moink balls. They were tasty; however, three meatballs for $11 is too pricey. We ordered a certified Angus beef brisket sandwich and a Happy Heifer sandwich, each sandwich came with two sides. We had mac-n-cheese (tasted like it was from a can), baked beans (a tasty small portion), and honey cornbread (a tasty good-sized portion) as sides. The service was great, our food came quickly. We were there on a Friday evening and it was not crowded. Overall...too pricey for quality and portions.
Parking: Metered parking during the day.

Good food a little pricey 30.00 or more dollars a meal. I went for a party. I got a potato for 13.00 with sour cream, nacho cheese, pulled pork. No I won't be back
Kid-friendliness: It's a bar that serves food also
Wheelchair accessibility: No ramp couple stairs

The brisket was all fat and maybe a 2oz portion, ribs were either old or way over cooked, and the sides were absolutely disgusting. Way overpriced for the food you receive. Apparently people enjoy paying those ridiculous prices for another Council Bluffs garbage restaurant!

GET THE SALMON....
AMAZING
Brisket was super fatty, sides were not great, they tried to pass off brisket for burnt ends on the sliders. You should just make a note on the menu that you don't have burnt ends unless it's Wednesday if that's the case. Don't know that I would go back.

Probably the worst experience I have ever had at this place. Normally we dine in and everything is pretty good, atmosphere and staff is great. It was the same but the prices vs portion size have become outrageous. Coupled that with how bad the food was and we will likely not come back. We spent almost $60 on a 2 meat and a 3 meat dinner. My wife got the two different rib options. One was cooked perfect, but the st Louis style tasted dry and old, like they were yesterdays ribs. Her baked potato was cold in the middle and not cooked all the way through.
I had chicken, sausage and brisket. The brisket was so dry I needed sauce to cover the fact it tasted like crispy pot roast. Same for my chicken(dryed out) and kielbasa (looked like the last hotdog at the end of the day in a gas station.) I had potato salad and elote which was the redeeming factors on this review. Those were great but I'm not going to a smokehouse for the sides.
The cornbread has an interesting taste, it was a honey cornbread so the top was glazed and was dessert cake like. All in all, if you want service and atmosphere with an urban price tag and mediocre main courses, this is your place. I would personally go elsewhere for a BBQ dinner.
