The food was incredibly good. I had the spicy fajitas, and a house margarita, and loved both. Our waitress was very kind, and our food came out extremely fast. The only weird thing was the atmosphere. It looks pretty rundown from the outside, and we got there around 5pm when it was completely empty. It felt awkward until the food arrived as a result. By 6pm, however, a lot more people came in, and it felt much more alive.
La Mesa is our family favorite. The staff are so friendly. They are so fast to make sure you have hot chips and cold drinks. It takes maybe 2 minutes to get both. The chips and dip are fresh and always yummy. The chimmy and the fajita are where it's at. The BEST Mexican restaurant around. Keep up the good work!
We've gone here for a few years now, the food is always good, and the staff are always really nice.
