Comfortable home grown feel and great food here! ?
Wheelchair accessibility: I feel like their front entrance would be tough for a wheelchair but the back would be fine.

Decided to go for breakfast with our family of 8. Walked in and thought it was a good atmosphere but we were not greeted so my thought changed. We sat for 20 min and no one came to our table to get our drink order or to even say it will be a few min. We decided to leave and go down the street. Would not recommend unless you have 2 hours and lots and lots of patience with being ignored

Can't go wrong with any of the breakfast skillets. My hubby had the ham and I had the bacon with English muffins. Always great food. Great service. Only the one server guy running his side of restaurant. Have a little patience, if it's just him. He does a good job?

Just stopped in for breakfast. I was told the one side with three open tables was full, was directed to the other side of the building where they also said they where full. Stinks getting that kind of service like they didnt care to even try and seat us. I spend good money there and tip well. No longer after treatment like that. You can find me down the street at Legends from now on.

Best omelet, I ever had.
Wife actually ate all our food.
You know I'm new in town and these people were incredibly rude. Not to mention when I explained they added something on to my ticket that I didn't order she wouldn't take it off she just stood there. So I left without my food. It's okay the place seems like it's filthy anyways.

Love coming here and food is great but today I brought my mom here for her birthday breakfast and it was 10:53 when we parked and the open sign was still up. As we parked right in front of the building she came a locked the door and said sorry we close at 11 and it was not even 11. She gave us 3 excuses why they closed early.
1. They were busy. (Plenty of seating)
2. The cook was so tired it was better than her falling and getting burned on the stove.
3. They had a death in the family earlier this week.
They knew we just pulled up they seen us and hurried and locked the door before we got to it so they could close early. It’s very unfortunate because now we won’t be back due to the customer service and excuses we received.

Had 2 cheeseburgers with fries, a hamburger with fries and an egg and hashbrown meal. It was so delicious and everyone was so friendly. It is a must to visit in Council Bluffs.

I went here looking for a Mom, and Pop diner experience. Let me tell you how I appreciated it. The service was wonderful for a small town Cafe, and the breakfast was wonderful, I first ordered 2 eggs hashbowns, andtoast with a large orange juice. I ended up adding an egg, and buying a big piece of apple pie to go, I added a five dollar tip, and the people were friendly, the whole experience ended up costing me a remarkable priceof fourteen dollars and some change, including the tip. I appreciated the good old fashion hospitality of this wonderfully quaint Mainstreet Cafe. Thank you, and I will be back and tell everyone I can. Just moved here, and that was such a great experience, again, thank you. Sherry Van Sickel

This is quite possibly the best cafe I have ever been to. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was like going to grandma's house for breakfast. The prices were so reasonable that I felt like I was robbing them.

We LOVE this place, we try to get there at least once a week, every one is very friendly and the food is SO GOOD, it’s the food mom and grandma used to make, I can’t say enough how good it is, I always recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good restaurant
