I've tried it twice and just not impressed... any of there chicken dishes are just fried and crunch beyond my liking. Most chicken pieces are fried so much it's like the chicken turned into a crouton. The flavor of the sauces is good, but if they were to lighten up their fry time I think the food would improve significantly. Their fried rice needs attention as well. Crab Rangoon are pretty decent!

I had hot and sour soup and egg rolls. The soup ranks with the best in NE Iowa! It's hard to find good hot and sour soup. Egg rolls were very good, softer in the middle than I'm used to but still very good! Only one server at lunch time whom was answering phones, and taking orders. She wasn't very attentive but was nice.

Panda Garden re-opened about 6 months with new owners. My family and I have visited several times and it has been consistently great. The food portions are large, always fresh and hot, and the prices are competitive. Wait time was minimal. Keep up the great work!

Always a good place to eat
After reopening, they have done very well bringing back the food ever since the original owner passed. For about 20 dollars, the food is quite good, and it came out fast for me, and the serving amount is huge! Definitely worth the money. after I ate, I had the rest go into a to-go box, and it looked like I hadn't even touched it, and I ate half of it! The service was nice too, and it was pretty clean. After the owner passed, I'll admit, the food wasn't the way it used to be, but when they closed, they reopened and it's almost the way it used to be, best 20$ I spent on a meal in a long time.
Vegetarian options: There is a whole part of the menu for vegetarians
Parking: You can park on the street in front of it, or pull behind the building where there's a pretty big parking area

I’ve been waiting days for this restaurant to get their wonton soup back in stock as they’ve been running out of food often.. anyways, I’ve never tried their wonton soup before… and to say the least I am very disappointed. it was water with wontons in it.. Their food is mediocre at best — not worth their wait time or your precious money.

Panda Garden used to be the best Asian-American restaurant in Northeast Iowa in terms of food, ambiance, service, and overall value. Went downhill after the passing of the original owner (a great man), though his family kept it going for a while best they could. Since new ownership, the quality has dropped significantly to the point where I only order crab rangoons for takeout. I remember its former era fondly, and hope that someday it might improve so I can recommend it again.

since it has re-opened. it has been a delight to eat there. my 7 year old son was so happy he wanted,to,give this review
Closed and unsure if they are opening again. Phone was disconnected or possibly just off for now. Also sign on door only states "Sorry closed" with no reopening plans or other info. Not bad for being in a small town in Cresco IA. For me way too much black pepper in the rice. Not the best i have had but not the worst. We did go there a few times over our stay in Cresco. We tried a few of the dishes and a couple of the appetizers.
