Visiting from Texas and just wanted to experience an Iowa distillery. What a great experience! There was no one else when we chose to go, so we got the bar tender all to ourselves! She was a pleasure to talk to and the spirits are commendable!! That means that we commended it to our daughter and son in law, who live in Ankeny. Love the Prairie Fire!

I was driving threw and looked up distilleries near Des Moines Iowa. I am very pleased with my time there. I bought a bottle of bourbon and a bottle of their moonshine.

The Rocket Fuel is amazing. It may be a tad "hot" for most people, and I don't know how they did it, but it is very drinkable neat, especially at 151 proof. And it's very affordable, I just wish it were available at more stores than Hy-Vee. Trust me though, I will go out of my way to get a hold of it, and I recommend you do too.

This is a fun, quaint date night place. Don't expect a huge operation or a long tour and you'll love it! Great drinks, great bartender. They make high quality spirits, although I'm not personally "into" flavored liquors. I really like their Steel Drum rum and I know their Prairie Fire is very popular as an alternative to Fireball.
Owners were great, cocktails even better. What a great distillery.

Great place to stop by for a cocktail. Nice drink menu. If you are a bicycle list it is close to the trail. They also provide bottles for sale that is still on site.

This isn't enough stars. There are few places that I would send everyone..... This is one. Don't think you like whiskey? Check it out anyway. You will like this place. The real whiskey people will love it. I will see you there!

What a fun place... they have such a great seasonal drink menu. The bartender was super helpful and really knew her stuff! The place isn't big nor are the chairs comfortable but drinks are worth it. I have to say we drank quite a bit very quickly because of the seating situation. I loved "Stranded in the Desert" and the "Blackberry Lemonade" quite bit. My partner "peaches and sin" but said you could only have one cause they could get you in trouble... Worth a trip but know the seating is limited and uncomfortable.
