Wilson's Ciderhouse (Des Moines)

So many berries! We had a very enjoyable time and picking was fast, which was good because it was hot (6/11/25)! Staff was friendly. A bit of a walk to the strawberry fields, so be prepared if you plan to pick lots, you will have to carry them back. Try the lemonade slushy, the perfect way to cool off!

Patty is an amazing waitress!! Top quality service, professional, friendly and made sure we were satisfied during our visit on 05/31. We will definitely come back to this Cumming location in the future! thanks Patty!

Went here twice this week. Food and service were top notch. My 10 year old approves as well. Shout out to Ashley and Elizabeth for outstanding service!

Went on a walk behind Wilsons and got apple cider donuts afterwards. Great place for body, mind and soul.

We were drawn by the opportunity to pick our own strawberries, given how disappointing the flavor of most purchased in the store are - and not only did we love the strawberries, the meatballs and strawberry sundae were also delicious!

While we did have plans for dinner at another restaurant, we stopped in at the cider house to sample what they had and then also enjoyed an appetizer as well as topping it off with an early dessert! We started with a Cider Flight (see pictue) to sample several of their ciders and while neither my wife nor myself are big cider fans, we enjoyed several of them.

For an appetizer, we had the House Meatballs (see picture) and while they seemed a bit on the salty side, we LOVED them. Lastly, and even though we were stopping elsewhere for dinner next, I couldn't resist the opportunity to sample a strawberry sundae (see picture). While our trunk was loaded with strawberries to last us for months and we ate our fair share while picking them...the combination with soft serve ice cream was still delicious!

One of our favorite restaurants of all time. Every time we go, the service, food & atmosphere are all exceptional. Sourdough starter is a must. Comes with butter of the day & have always been impressed with the variety & flavor. Pizza, burger + fries & cider are all amazing as well. Great patio & dinner views outside. Staff is always friendly & attentive.

Had a really lovely afternoon here. There was live music and we sat on the patio. Service was pretty attentive and we didn't have to wait long for our orders. We rode there so I was pleased to see bike racks out front.

Reserved a table for my birthday brunch. Sat down quickly.. otook 20 minutes to get water and order. Actually ordered fries for grandsons to have as an appetizer that did not come until the meal was served. Then took another 50 minutes to get our food and drinks.when we came in only 3 at bar, but when I walked up to hostess inquiring about our meal the bar was full and they were all eating. Quiche overcooked and dry and crumbly. Need some sound barrier in ceilings. Normally never do a review like this, but was to be a nice outing. There were 6 of us.

My husband and I have dined in twice, and we've had good experiences both times. The food and cider were both good, and we like the atmosphere too. Great to have something like this so close to home and without having to go into Des Moines.

There is so much potential with the facility and the views are beautiful from the patio. They still need to work out some kinks with the service as we were sat 20 minutes after our reservation and the wait for our food was even longer.

Amazing food! Always something new to try since the menu changes every couple of months. Everyone is so nice! Service is good. Would recommend making a reservation as this place seems to get very busy on the weekends, but is slow during the week. Ravyn, Kristen, and Ashley are always so awesome to see. You can tell they genuinely care and always have the best recommendations and service!

Over salted food that was garbage. Waiter couldn’t even give me lettuce or tomato for my burger and was rude about every thing I asked.
