I love this bar. I have been to this one more than any other. I’m not even from the east side!!! 😆 I love the atmosphere it’s just “dive-y” enough but not to where you don’t feel comfortable there. Even someone such as myself (being a small female) feels safe enough. I haven’t been served by a bartender who’s worked there over all these years that wasn’t great at what they do. I felt like i was on an episode of cheers. I walked in and immedieately i was greeted by people at the bar, staff, and people walking by. Atmosphere was extremely comfortable. Bartender was a doll. Will be back..
We were in town on our way from Oklahoma to Milwaukee, looking for a bar like we have back home. Did not disappoint. We had a great time hanging with the locals. Definitely recommend if you are in Des Moines!
