We ordered Beef with Rice and Chicken with Rice. We were immediately served with sweet tea and it hit the spot! It was served with beef soup on the side. The food is flavorful and tasty!! I highly recommend that you try this place and support local - it is a taste of Arabic-Afghani-Afrikan food! Don't let the look of the place deceive you Support Local food places like this

Guys, what is this? Ramadan month!!! How was it possible? The meat is not fresh at all! I told myself on the road to Chicago, what is this from the garbage heap?

This place is a gem! They might not look fancy but the food is so goood. Literally! A plate cost you 10 dollar and more than enough for 2 people.

Best Lamb with Bone dinner in town. Halal and courteous owner gives us meat sauce that goes with rice each time we go. The meat is really tender and the food is fresh made to order.

I was just visiting, saw good reviews and decided to eat here. Upon entering the whole restaurant was empty. Seems like no one was there for the entire day. I asked for a few items on the menu but they didn't have them, quite strange. But I was hungry and had been driving for 8 hours and didn't want to go look for another restaurant. I ordered beef with rice, but was served beef kebab, which was not so good. The rice was made fresh but everything else was just old reheat to serve. I guess no one goes there in summer and they didn't bother cooking fresh food for us.

The food was good.. but very expensive I spent $112 for a fish with rice , mix of beef chicken cubes with rice , vombo plate of falafel and fries and salad.. the dining room was hot AC not working.. 2 or 3 items was out of menu.

Decided to try something new and found this place! When I called to place order, I didn’t realize they rotated menu. The owner promptly sent me the menu and then called back to assist and take order. Let me tell you, the food is amazing. We ordered the lamb and bread, lamb and rice, sambusas and baklava. The ear was tender, the bread was clearly fresh and homemade, rice was savory and spiced well. The sambusas were fantastic as well, flaky crust and savory filling. Baklava was a great treat to end the meal! The owner was so nice and friendly, taking time to help me with menu and answer questions. I can’t wait to place my next order!

This place was originally owned by Muslim Africans and called Africana halal restaurant and just recently was sold to a new owner this the name you see in the photo on this post, the food is amazing and they’re currently in progress to making this a better place for Muslims to enjoy takeout and dine in, In’sha’Allah in the near future, The owner is a wonderful man and has a face that will brighten anyones day! As you all know Im not a big fan of my Arab people and I’m extremely quiet and distant when it comes to face to face conversations with Arabs UNLESS MY WNERGY MATCHES THEIRS. But this man and young girl were just a joy and just respectful and concerned in our meal I just had to be comfortable involuntarily! Alhamdul’Allah we were blessed to have stopped by this place! Subhan’Allah after our time being there eating the delicious food they’ve made, I have already summed up my entire 2-3 years of my life to the owner within 10 minutes. They’ve only been around for 4 months and I hope and pray and wish they only are granted all the success and joy and happiness in their business and life in America! Ameen Ya Rab!!! The man was such a gem and his young girl was just the sweetest ever! بارك الله فيك عمو ❤️ We definitely will stop by this little cozy place every time we pass through In’sha’Allah Also make dua he gets his citizenship. My own husband who was born in America and lived in America his entire life and he said those questions were hard! ??? I felt like I knew this man so much I called him uncle and didn’t even get his name! Lol Definitely recommend!

The place definitely doesn't look like much. It was dirty - all the windows were smeared, crumbs on the tables. The decor is definitely lacking. I don't want to know what the kitchen looks like. The guy behind the counter spoke almost no English and couldn't answer questions so you just had to point. We ordered a meal with chicken, beef and kebab on rice. The beef was really dry, couldn't eat some of it. Chicken was better but also dry. The kebab was ok. The rice had a weird flavor, almost like cinnamon - I did not like it but maybe that is how it is supposed to be. The dish was listed on the menu as $23 but we got charged $30 for "custom" - we didn't customize anything, maybe it was punishment for sharing the meal? Also it was freezing cold in there, I don't think there was any heat on and it was like a single digit temperature day - I could not wait to get out of there.
