The bar is very, very well taken care of. It’s owned outright. I’m sure operating costs are low. It’s definitely his passion project. It cant be much of an income source. Great place to come for game days/events when other spots are crowded. The jukebox is incredible. The booths are original and darling. The owner/bartender is misogynistic and racist person. He does not create a welcoming environment and mouths off and yells at patrons. He makes inappropriate comments to patrons. He’s made an inappropriate and sexual comment toward me. He’s yelled at me and my friends. It’s very disheartening because id love to be there more frequently since it is such a special space.
Very fun bar, superb service. As a non-local i felt right at home! Keep up the hospitality bartender!
Friendly staff. Low key and mellow.
Clean organized and safe. Tried and proven. Thanks for running a great bar!!!

Owner doesn’t like non locals. Will yell at you for having a beer on the table without a coozie. service might take you 15 min. The bathrooms are very small. Not worth your time
Not a bad little joint out west a bit on Ingersoll Ave. Situated on a hot little block with a couple really good restaurants and another divey type bar. Small, yet cozy with a big widow looking out to the street, a jukebox, pinball and pool table. Owner operated with a ‘I don’t give a shit’ attitude but in a loving and caring way.

Always a good time visiting Frank!
The jukebox doesn't work most of the time. The owner is still eccentric and the drinks are still strong. This place is a gem.
One of my favorite local bars. Cheap drinks, and they sell Old Style beer which is kinda hard to find in Des Moines from my experience.
Great dive bar
