Every time I’m in Des Moines, I try and go to Annie’s Irish pub. It’s close to all the action and they have great drinks.

My friend got kicked out for going into the men’s restroom bc there was a line for the women’s restroom. There was no one in the men’s rest room, girl just had to pee.

The women’s bathroom was flooded and had a friend use the men’s because that was the only bathroom we knew of and the security guard came pushing thru me and opened the door on a women KNOWING A WOMEN was in the bathroom and then kicked her out of the bar for using the only bathroom that we knew of and was PUTTING THEIR HANDS US WOMEN SHOVING US OUT and kick us out for no reason!!!! Disgusting that a man pushed his way thru on a woman using a bathroom and then putting his hands on the women!!!

This isn’t a true Irish pub. It’s a normal bar that I guess turns into a club atmosphere at night? I went there on a Saturday night expecting Irish pub things, like a quiet welcoming atmosphere, a glass of Guinness and some good food. They had a bouncer at the door, served beer out of plastic cups, and took my barstool for “when it gets crowded.” Oh, and not to mention they were out of 3/6 beer taps, including Guinness. After they took my stool, I left and there were maybe 10 people in there. I’m giving it three starts because it might be decent during the day, but at night, there is nothing about it that is an Irish Pub. Should just be called Annie’s Bar. Again, could be a decent place, but by late night it isn’t a pub.

Will never be back. Bartender working outside couldent tell us any of the beers they had.
Very disrespectful to my wife and sister. He told us to walk around the bar to look into the fridge to see what they had. Asked for an Old Fashioned, he said they don't make them there. Eventually asked for two fingers of whisky and he didn't know what that ment.
Save your money, find a better bar.

I was wondering what time you open? I went to google.and it says 4 pm on a Tuesday. I went to your website, and it says 3 PM on Tuesday. I walked 7 blocks counting on one of your times being correct. I was very disappointed and upset that neither one of your posted hours was correct. People count on their phones for this information. Please update your information.

the dj at annie’s that plays on friday nights (mustache and beard with a black hat) sucks at transitions. his music sucks and it was raping my ears all night. my friends agreed. we asked him to change the music to which he refused. what kind of service is this? i would rate it zero if i could.
