At first, we thought this place had potential. I ordered a double shot of Patrón that tasted suspiciously like José.. first red flag. Then my friend stood at the bar for 10 minutes trying to order while the bartender blatantly ignored her, serving everyone else around her. Weird energy. We came in excited, ready to stay all night and tip big, but the vibe was off. Ended up heading across the street instead and had the best night there. Save yourself the trouble! This place is all attitude, no hospitality. Very disappointing.

Went on a Saturday night and the drinks and service was fine but the music was ungodly loud. And I enjoy good loud music but like holy cow guys it was painfully loud.. Definitely don't need that volume in a space like that.

Visited bellhop this weekend for the first time ! Had an amazing experience and I believe her name was Katie (?) did an amazing job and the drinks were awesome! Came into Des Moines from out of town for the holiday weekend and was definitely not disappointed. Highly recommend

My friends & I frequent bellhop often, and it’s our favorite place in the metro! The service is always lovely, our favorite bartender is Katie. The vibes are always good, the atmosphere is pretty for pictures. It’s also always clean. Overall would highly recommend!

I visited Bellhop with five of my friends around 12:30 PM, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. After enjoying a drink, we were unexpectedly met with rudeness from the bartender, who insulted us and abruptly told us to leave, claiming she didn't know who we were. While we understand that closing time is important, a polite and respectful approach would have made a significant difference. It was disheartening to witness this treatment, especially when other patrons were still being served.
We were hoping for a welcoming atmosphere, but this experience overshadowed our time there. I hope the management addresses this behavior, as it can impact the overall customer experience.

Omg this place is so cool and the drinks are amazing and Ellie has one of the sweetest smiles I've ever seen! Well except the time i witnesses and Axolotl smile, that's kind of tough to beat, but second place for sure! Well... there was that Ardvark that I didn't even know could smile... Ya know adding animals is rude, people wise! She's killing the game with thay smile!

Walked in before close, at around 1:00 am. Door was unlocked and we came in and sat down. As I was scanning the menu, I was screamed at by the bartender. He said “GET THE HINT WERE DONE FOR THE NIGHT”. I have never been offended and disrespected like that in a public place. We did not say a word and walked out right away. The lack of respect for paying customers is unreal. As someone who has worked in customer service for over 5 years, that behavior is unacceptable.
