I've been looking forward to visiting Bellhop for quite a while and finally made it down on Saturday 3/23 with 3 of my friends. It was around 11 and the place was hopping. I waited at the bar for 15 minutes with zero bartender interaction. There were 4 staff members I could see behind the bar. Two mixing drinks and two pulling bottles. One of my friends called out that everyone at the tables was also waiting for drinks. We left after that. The menu looked cool I guess even though it was missing a lot of tiki staples.

Definitely not coming back here, this place discriminates against people sporting beanies when it's cold. Was just going into this place to get a drink but my $$ wasn't welcome. Bunch of stuck up

All the bartenders were great. The only reason for a 4 star rating was the DJ. He was incredibly rude when asked about a request. I was about to mention what song I would have requested if requests were accepted, and he acted as if I was assaulting him or something. It was meant as a friendly interaction, but I left feeling like an intruder.

I do like this place. The atmosphere is fantastic and includes tiki style drinks, a true rarity in the Midwest. The bartender that served us was fantastic and knew his stuff. The neon decor intermixed with some elements of tiki was a unique experience.However a couple things stuck out in mind that dropped it to 3 starsIssue 1: One member of the staff grabbed my glass of full water I was just served and scurried back to the bar. It's an honest mistake but I was trying to hydrate after a few drinks and by the time I had noticed, it was too late as the bar was reaching peak hours and we were ready to leave. It would be more appropriate to ask before taking the glass.Issue 2: Seating isn't the best. The majority of the seating is stools with a small table. Which is great for conversation but not for the back. There are benches lined up on some of the walls but several larger groups were already using themIt is 100% worth visiting for the delicious refreshments.

We stopped in today and wanted to use PubPass that they offer and the bartender refused to honor their BOGO offer. He was very rude and arguementive. They lost out in all our business for the evening.

Tropical plants line the large windows. The bar stools are comfy. There are cozy tables for groups.The NA selection is amazing. The green drinks, THC infused will give you a mood boost without the alcohol.
My wife and I aren't "bar" people. Nor do we drink alcohol. So we never had any reason to go out. But after hearing about the THC drinks being offered by Bellhop we had to try them! They were very inexpensive and it created a magical night for my wife and I out on the town! Everyone was polite and genuinely excited to be there, the live music mixing was really great, and the aesthetic of a tiki bar being located in central Iowa as it was snowing outside was very cool. We are already making plans to go back and take friends with us next time!

I’ve been wanting to try their drinks for the longest time and we finally went on Halloween weekend. The drinks were delicious and wish I could have taken more pictures! I absolutely love their piña colada! Definitely will be going back!

The new ownership has brought down the quality of drinks. Can't understand if it's a tiki bar or a club. Will be checking out Revival House for the better tiki atmosphere.
