the food was good, but our waitress was CRAP, waited 40 min for food, and over 25 min when we were done eating for our ticket, we were ignored, as waitress was too busy flirting with a table full of men, and no apology neither, used to frequent this place in the 70's, been there twice this year, never again

If I could give this place a negative rating I absolutely would. Was there tonight with a group of 32 people and the owner David is rude. He charged EVERY SINGLE CHECK a room rental fee of $10 he got 120 for that room because there was 12 checks after he had told us SEVERAL TIMES on the phone He would not charge a room fee. On top of the food is way over priced. Even if he wanted to, and that was the case, the entire group of people should not have been charged and when approached about it, he tells us to just pay our bills and get out of his restaurant instead of being professional and handling this in a professional manner, I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody now the waitresses Michelle and Nikki they were absolutely fabulous and I feel sorry for them poor girls that this is their boss. Would not recommend wasting your money at this place.
Has always been my favorite but has been going down hill since owners changed, went tonight worst service ever the table next to use came in after us ordered and ate and was done before we even got our food. The food was wrong had to send back so my husband was sitting waiting on his food after we always waited a good 30 mins for them to correct it and they tried to offer it to us for half off if we would just take it as is (wrong) we said no please make it the way we orderd it. The owner walked to all the tables to check on service but never came to check on our table probably because he knew things was going bad. Could have at least offered an apology for service wasn't asking for a free meal. I too work in the restaurant business and this is Not how you treat your guest. Spent over $100 for what!!!!
This place used to be so good! We were so disappointed in this experience. Service was terrible, our waitress had to come back several times to ask us basic questions that should have been asked when we ordered. We ordered 3 cavatelli’s a spaghetti with meat sauce and the chicken livers. The food took 45 minutes to come out, in fact the people next to us sat down, ordered and finished their food before we even got ours. The waitress came back after we ordered our food and said “you can’t get meat sauce with the spaghetti unless you order meatballs. When our food came out the spaghetti didn’t have meat sauce. The waitress came back and said the only way to get meat was to order meatballs, which was not what she told us during our order. They took the food back, and she was sent back to ask us “will you take it if we give you 50% off.” Our whole party was dumbfounded at her question. We said we wanted it as she advertised with meat sauce. When the dish was remade it did not taste good. My cavatelli was clearly burnt on one end and I couldn’t eat that end of the dish (black charred from the top and down the side into the noodles). The prices were ridiculous. 2 entrées, 1 app and 2 drinks were not worth the $73 price tag. Our friends that had the spaghetti ended up paying full price for a meal they took two bites out of. Their livers also came out burnt and crispy. Not once did the waitress seem sympathetic or try to make it right. The manager never came out. The whole experience was terrible and not worth the price you pay. Stay away from this place if you like decent Italian food. It’s a shame, because this place used to be good.
DON’T PURCHASE ALCOHOL HERE! Food and our waitress was fantastic. We did get a sticker shock on the price of a bottle of Coors beer ($5). Have no idea what my friends cocktail cost, but she was shocked too. Alcohol prices is not on the menu …. Now we know why.
Food was good until we found a black hair (pubic or beard) in our onion rings.

Met the Executive Chef today at lunch. He is so awesome, checking in on tables, and talking to guests. Loved the candied bacon sample!
Arielle was our server, and was very attentive to us. I never waited on a refill and she split the check as we needed. We will be back!

My wife and I had an evening meal here 2 nights ago. We eat here occasionally and the food was very good as usual. She had her usual pizza which she loves and I had a grinder w/extra cheese. The chef came to our booth and talked and was really friendly and our waitress was Michele and was very attentive in keeping our drinks full and taking care of whatever needs we had. When we left my wallet was under my napkin and I realized I didn't have it on the way home. We came back and they had it safely in back and intact. Michele had found it after we left. What a relief!! So nice to know this local business not only provides good eats and good service but has good people! I would recommend hilltop to anyone looking for a good meal!

Gluten free pizza was wonderful and priced comparable to other restaurants. The special was lasagna, salad, and one piece of bread.
Apparently they just cook lots of lasagna today because there wasn't a price break for a $19 meal, but it was tasty. Waitress was attentive but not very knowledgeable. We were celebrating a birthday and the birthday girl did receive a birthday piece of cheese cake.

Food is always good . Our waitress Michelle was awesome. She went above and beyond service when something wasn't right, I give props to Chef T for coming out to check and make sure things were right . The experience couldn't have been better.. The staff is usually very friendly.

I won't go back again. Waited over 30 minutes for lunch. Wrong toppings on pizza then replacement not done. Others arriving after us were being served. My food tasted good but not worth the price or the wait.
Love this place. Great prime rib and very reasonable prices overall.
