As a vegetarian, I appreciated that there are several vegan/vegetarian options on the menu, as the Midwest is often unforgiving of customers who do not eat meat.
The mushroom pot pie I ordered was excellent - well presented, with lots of vegetables, and delicious. Even my meat-eating brother said it was really good. We were seated at the bar, and the staff there served us very promptly and with a friendly smile, even though he was very busy. We left him a good-sized tip for that.
The only complaint I have is that the door staff at first did not seem to want to seat us. When we came in, she said there would be a 45 minute wait. We were about to leave when my sister asked whether there were vacant seats at the bar. The hostess looked reluctant, but admitted that there were 6 empty bar seats, so our party of three easily could fit in there.
It seems a bit odd to me that she did not suggest that in the first place. The only reason I cam come up with is that perhaps she did not see us as repeat customers, so was uncaring if we had decided to walk out after being informed of the wait time.
As we specifically picked Bubba's that evening and then took time to find parking downtown, which everyone knows is a nightmare, giving up and finding another restaurant would have left a bad impression.This might be an issue for management to look into, as frustrated customers tend to say nothing in the moment, but we do take time later to write reviews.

Amazing food at this place my catfish meal was some of the best I've had. Now for my wife's the waffle and chicken didn't look all that great. The waffle was over cooked and cold but the chicken looked really good! Despite that I would highly recommend this place . Like I said the catfish is absolutely amazing here! Oh and a side note the service went to 3 star because I never did get my diet pepsi. No biggie though.😀

I scratched my head when I saw we were going to a “southern” restaurant in Iowa. My group was majority from Georgia. I was immediately proven wrong. Bubba is a delight, from the service to the vibe to the food a cocktails, these folks nailed it. I’m hard pressed to think of a better southern restaurant in Atlanta. Everyone raved about each course. The Peanut butter pie even elicited a “This is made from babies!” If you have a hankering for some down home in the Midwest, give Bubba a try.

A great spot for dinner after an event at Hoyt Sherman. We received a friendly greeting and a warm welcome. We were seated immediately. The server was helpful, made suggestions and answered all of our questions. We loved the atmosphere. The food was terrific.

Stopped by for a quick bite and had an exceptional time! Amber took care of us at a high top by the window - The Deviled Eggs were fantastic - the Grilled Salmon Salad was superb (great apple cider vinaigrette dressing) and the Warm Street Corn Dip was Incredible! Can’t wait to come back next time we are in town!

This was a great place to go with the family. However, the chicken dumplings are a little smaller than I thought, they are NOT the same kind from Cracker Barrel. Anywho it was awesome just wish there was more portions ?? proof it was awesome is in the photos
