In town to visit with family, our last night in town we selected Bubba's. This was the first time for all of us to eat at this restaurant. This restaurant strikes the perfect balance between sophistication and comfort. With its upscale aesthetic and warm, down-home atmosphere, it feels both refined and welcoming. The space spans two floors: the first features a cozy mix of bar seating and a handful of tables, while the second floor opens up to the main dining area, complete with long wall booths and a variety of table arrangements that invite relaxed gatherings and intimate meals alike. Our server was wonderful, checking the table often to refill drink orders between the appetizer and main meals. She also was helpful with dish options to match tastebud interests. The food was okay, a bit more seasoning would have made it really good. The exception is the Cajun Chicken & Sausage Gumbo was excellent! The roux was savory and on point - rich, velvety and layered with flavor. And the Mac & Cheese Bite appetizer was cheesy and lightly fried to perfection with jalapeno cheese sauce. A good place to enjoy a relaxing place with good service and food.

Food was very good and fresh. We had Frog leg ,shrimp n grits, and catfish. The Cuban sandwich was ehhh but should've known better. overall good food and service. Will be back the next time I'm in town.

Bubba’s in Des Moines is fantastic! Upscale yet welcoming, with a great server, diverse entrees, and a kids menu. Loved the classic Southern appetizers and entrees. Drink menu is excellent for whiskey/ bourbon fans — the Manhattan was delicious. Would absolutely go again!

Everything was great. Service and atmosphere is amazing. We ordered the Corn Dip, Chicken Fried Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Greeb Beans, and Fried Chicken and Mashed Potatoes with a side of Pinento Mac n Cheese. Definitely will be going back
My husband and I had an amazing dinner at Bubba tonight! The menu has something for everyone and I wish I could have had a few different dishes. My husband was delighted with the BBQ Meatloaf, it practically melts in your mouth with rich flavor. I had the Cajun Pasta, but I'm a bit iffy with shrimp so our server suggested chicken as an alternative and it was phenomenal! Ashley was a rockstar for us and was patient when I had a hard time deciding what to order. Even recommended a side to try since neither of us had had crawfish before and were curious. She made our first visit to Bubba an amazing experience and we'd love to see her again on our next visit! Without hesitation we will be back!
