Great service...thanks, Jae! The Cuban music and decor create a fun atmosphere! Oh... And the food is just like you find in Miami. There are many things on the menu to try...we will be back!

Ceviche is one of my favorites to go for date night. Best restaurant in Des Moines to get plantains (maybe the only place) you also can’t go wrong with their happy hour.

Ordered the lobster roll to go. Upon arrival the place was a ghost town on a Thursday at 6:30pm, should have been a sign the place sucks, as just across thw street the iowa tap room was packed to the gills. Was told it was $20 with 1 side but tried to charge me an extra $5 for mixed veggies that were obviously similar to the frozen mixed veggies you get from hyvee, the were gross! The lobster mix in the sandwich was ok but the bread was old, stale, dry and hard. Also the bread to meat ratio was like 5 to 1 bread. On a lobster roll, even the cold ones need a butter toasted bun at the right proportion. Worst lobster roll by fare that I've ever had and I've had alot of them. I don't see this place lasting too much longer.

In the past this has been so good, maybe a year ago. But the last two times we went were disappointing. Last time the rice was so dry and seemed old. The burger we had was overdone, everything was bland and dry. The drinks were good! But for the price, it was a lame meal.
Cubano hamburger was sooooo good
Felt like I was in Key West at a local Cuban restaurant. Great food, happy hour specials, and friendly service.

The food was really good, the group agreed. We got there after a super busy day in the area and the folks were still on top of everything
Restaurantji Recommends
Shout out the homies who helped me last night when I was too drunk! They got me water and a Cuban. 10/10 would recommend
Im cuban and I just ordered a napolitan Cuban pizza for my wife; she ended crying because nathing have been so far from a Cuban pizza. I didn't ordered anything else and I have to say that what they give me as a pizza tasted good and the food in that place smells really good.
There cubano sandwich is the best I've ever had. I wish I lived closer because I'd be frequenting this place!
Change your hours if you aren’t open on Sundays
I was in town visiting some friends when we decided to stop in here. Food was AMAZING, drinks were FANTASTIC although I think a lot of that had to do with our amazing bar tender Adrina. She was super quick with the drinks and made the best expresso martini I've ever had! Thanks Adrina/Civeche
