I visited Chuck's last night to listen to live music and share a meal with friends. The onion rings were very good, the thin crispy kind that I love. The salad was delicious with plenty of dressing, which I requested.
We ordered two pizza's. The flavor was some of the best pizza I have ever had. However, the crust could be improved. Both pizzas had a soft, somewhat soggy crust yet the outside crust was burnt. I brought home the left-over pizza and heated it in a skillet. That really helped the texture of the crust.
The drinks were very good with plenty of alcohol. They were just the right amount of a strong liquor flavor.
The male waiter was exceptional. He did everything right. In my past, I have worked as a waitress, so I recognize the good and the bad. He was very good. The other staff were very welcoming and friendly.
Chuck's desperately needs remodeled, especially the bathrooms. However, I understand how expensive a remodel would be and might be out of reach for the owners.
One more thing, the salt and pepper shakers were filthy. I didn't say anything to the waiter but I saw another table complain and they got a new/clean replacement.
Our table did not order the cheese log but other patrons ordered it and it looked yummy. Those people were commenting on how good it was. I will have to try it the next time I visit Chuck's.
Thursday's they have good drink specials, such as $5 Long Islands and $3.50 well drinks.

Was with a group, they got onion rings, good quality thin cut. Not greasy and coating stays on the onion nicely. Got Terry's Special for my sandwich. It was a unique sausage patty, minimal spice and seasoning, veg topping was good. Very filling. Brussel Sprouts as side. They appeared to be deep fried. Nice and crispy, minimal seasoning. No dip sauce came with the side. Needs something to finish it out, balsamic vinegar glaze is my go-to with sprouts. Will return to try other menu items.

Ordered a margarita pizza and the first time around it had : 4 slices of tomato, barely any cheese, and so little sauce it may as well been plain bread.
We have dined here for the last like 20 years, we know what a marg should look like.
Anyways we call back and get a free pizza, but the owner got after the kind woman up front for giving us a replacement pie.
Seriously? First you give us a piece of bread as a pizza and then you have the gall to belittle your employee over giving us what we actually ordered?
My god, last time we will ever order here. Pitiful at best.

Me and my fiance came here to celebrate our anniversary a day late the food was great we had a great waitress named Samantha good atmosphere great people very polite thank you Samantha for being our waitress you are very polite we will be back in the future maybe even bring the kids one night thank you again Chuck's for the amazing time
Parking: A plenty of parking spot if you get there early enough
Kid-friendliness: Very kid-friendly very nice people great food decent price you will leave with a belly full
Chuck’s was a family staple in the 70’s. Stopped in with my 89 y.o. Mother, the owners let us know quickly about the stairs in front and offered to help her with the walker use the staff entrance.

We ate here as a pregame meal for the Jacksonville Sharks. We were in town to play the Iowa barnstormers. The food was outstanding and the service was great!! The owner went out of her way to make us feel welcomed.
