We recognize Chris for going above and beyond at Wasabi Waukee on September 23, 2025.
We were facing an urgent issue with our keg cooler that was impacting draft service. Chris not only helped diagnose and repair the cooler on the spot, he also assisted with swapping in new kegs, confirming lines, pressures, and temperatures, and ensuring every tap was pouring correctly before he left. His professionalism, technical know-how, and willingness to stay until the job was truly complete prevented service interruptions during a busy period and saved us product waste.
Please pass along my thanks—this is exactly the kind of partnership we value. Chris represented Confluence exceptionally well.
Thank you,

Great beer selections. Awesome tap room.
Good beer.
Excellent beers!!!
Josh and staff did a great job giving a tour of the facilities! I appreciate all of the hard work and the quality of beers show 🍻
Love, love, love this brewery! It's so delicious and serves the cycling community very well.
Top 5 breweries in the US

This is a destination Brewery. There were 39 beers on tap when i was there, and what I had had the body and subtlety of the best European beers. They do have flights (generous pours of 5 beers, but if your idea of good beer runs to the light and conventional, it would be best to stick with ordering from the rather daunting list, which is arranged by heaviness. The staff is very friendly and helpful in picking out you might like. It was crowded with families and groups of young people the Sunday afternoon I was there, but the parking lot is large. It is located on the edge of the extensive park system that surrounds the Racoon and Des Moines rivers, ahd one of the main biking paths goes right up to the building. Too bad they don't serve food.
My favorite Iowa brewery

Loved the beer. I really needed one after a tough morning
Love the choices and service!
Friendly delicious and worth a visit!
A river of beer. Endless options. So many brews, each one a story in a glass. The staff—walking encyclopedias of hops, malts, and everything in between.
The brewer? Incredible. Warm, welcoming, generous. Took time to share her craft, her passion. You leave not just tasting the beer but understanding it.
The space? Massive and alive. Art on every wall, like the beer and creativity were brewed together. It's not just a brewery; it's an experience. Go for the beer, stay for the vibe.
We had a November 16th Book and Record Sale Event with Zellaphant Books here at Confluence and it was absolutely AMAZING. We had more fun than ever with friends and fans and the Confluence team was top tier when it came to being welcoming and helpful. The owner was fantastic and by the end of it we all felt like close friends. We’d definitely love to do this again.
