A river of beer. Endless options. So many brews, each one a story in a glass. The staff—walking encyclopedias of hops, malts, and everything in between.
The brewer? Incredible. Warm, welcoming, generous. Took time to share her craft, her passion. You leave not just tasting the beer but understanding it.
The space? Massive and alive. Art on every wall, like the beer and creativity were brewed together. It's not just a brewery; it's an experience. Go for the beer, stay for the vibe.
We had a November 16th Book and Record Sale Event with Zellaphant Books here at Confluence and it was absolutely AMAZING. We had more fun than ever with friends and fans and the Confluence team was top tier when it came to being welcoming and helpful. The owner was fantastic and by the end of it we all felt like close friends. We’d definitely love to do this again.
Amazing beers and knowledge staff
Unprofessional mgmt/ ownership. Do not know how to communicate with employees, applicants, or customers. Will never give them a penny. Save your money and go to Big Grove…or Lua a way better drinking experience. Also did I mention mgmt is terrible! 🙃
They always have a beer on their menu for everyone. I love thwir experimental IPAs l, and Ferrymans is the best BA beer in any metro brewery. The venue is fantastic with great outdoor seating.
Great beers and friendly staff. One of the best breweries in Des Moines.
Excellent beer, music, patio, college football on the 2 TVs. Great time.
Amazing Beer selection and great staff.
Was walking my dogs around grays lake when I heard the live music through the trees. Decided to stop by and visit the patio for a couple of Des Moines IPAs. What a great decision! Love this place and what they offer DSM!
In town for business and I asked a colleague what their favorite microbrew was in the Des Moines area and they said Confluence! Cool taproom with indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor area has lots of tables, and outdoor bar, and tonight they were playing live music. Loves the chill vibes and all of the people walking and riding bikes along the trail and to the taproom. There is plentiful bike racks for safe keeping while you enjoy a beer and a break. I tried the Milkman Molk Stout and it was superb stout - they have an extensive selection and I wish I had time to go back and try more.

Best local brewery in Des Moines
The beer was super good, the location and vibe not so much.
Terrible service it's clear that some people are welcome here and some people are not...

Excellent beer and excellent customer service. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Des Moines!
