Daisy Chain is a chill coffee shop, though a bit small, it is bright and clean. The baristas are all exceptional and if you're lucky enough to catch the owner behind the counter he will chat you up in the most genuine way.
The coffee is great, they have a locally roasted blend for their house coffee and honestly it is the best I've found. We buy their 5lb bags of beans for use at home in our espresso machine, always consistent and always delicious.
The expected coffee drinks are all there and made with care. I've also had many of their specials, they are interesting and great, though sometimes I ask to cut the amount of sugar.

My husband is a coffee snob. If we try a new coffee shop, he will order a cappuccino to determine if they actually know how to make it and if it’s done correctly. GUYS, THIS IS THE BEST COFFEE IN DSM.
Daniel knows what he’s doing. He’s been doing it a long time. He is friendly and chill, thoughtful with his craft, and a good business owner. The ambiance is great even if the shop is a bit small. If you don’t mind sitting elbow to elbow with other patrons, there is definitely seating to chill a while. We usually take our drinks to go. We go on Sundays mornings and it’s not usually too busy.
I like Americanos and his craft of my drink is top-notch. I’ve had some of the specialty drinks too, the honey latte, etc. and they all rocked. You can’t really go wrong, but if you want a solid, standard coffee, Daisy Chain is the best in Des Moines.
