Dave & Buster's Des Moines

The best food I have had at any Dave and Buster’s hands down! Really was impressed! My husband really liked the spicy smash burger! All the staff we dealt with were very nice. My only complaint is when my husband made the table reservation, we put for special occasion- birthday. And there wasn’t anything for that. Our child still had a great time but it would have been nice if the table had some decorations or a balloon or even if he got a little dessert. And on that day there was an event so parking was a problem even though there is plenty of space for just Dave and Busters. But other than that we had a pleasant experience.

Definitely one of the nicest D&B we have been to. Not just the environment as all have been nice but all of their personnel was most pleasant to work with from the restaurant staff to the prize zone personnel. All went over and beyond.

Parking: Large lot

Kid-friendliness: The prize lady was so efficient - especially keeping kids in control w/o being rude. Letting them still have fun by visiting w the kids.

The staff here is exemplary. Jon, the host/manager, is very welcoming to every guest. He also goes above and beyond in extenuating circumstances. I lost my eyeglasses there and Jon did everything he could to help me. The staff ended up finding them wedged behind a machine. I profusely thanked the staff member who turned them in. I also thanked Jon, but I hope upper management fully understands what a gem he is.

Atmosphere is pretty cool and the kids had a blast playing the games!

But.. I have worked in the food&bev industry for quite some time and I think you guys need to work on the customer service skills with your servers. We had a male wait on us, I believe his name was Domniviq? Anyways he was very unprofessional, forgot some of our drinks so one of us got up to check on them. He rudely stated not to get up from our seats. Which wouldn’t have happened if he would have properly communicated with his table. Then while ordering our food a response he made when one of us was ordering was “well that’s not an answer” which he didn’t not explain the question correctly so he got defensive. I hope that management steps up and works with their servers. We will come back someday but if we have the same experience next time we will never return.

Bartender was great! Server was okay, but got mad at me when I went up to grab my own drink because it was taking forever, not sure what that happened? Was just trying to help.

Food was good but both times I’ve eaten here had gut rot from
Chicken wing and breaded chicken sandwich.

Games are very expensive, helps when you come on Wednesday to get half price ?

The appetizer with the cheese sticks and the pepped up flatbread was amazing! That in and of itself is a meal! It was super loud which is to be expected, but there was a table with a large group of children (7-13 yrs) that were continually screaming for several minutes. This somewhat made it very chaotic and gave me a headache. Other than that I enjoyed everything. The games were fun and there was a large variety to play!

We had reservations for a party of 12. We were seated at two tables next to each other, we asked if we could slide the tables together and were told no but seen other patrons with tables together. Each group within the party had issues with the check like food not properly divided up. Even though each group was given a a number for which ticket was theirs. Food was ok.

Stood at the front for awhile before being acknowledged and then they looked puzzled when we said we had a reservation. Huge hair in one of our sandwiches and server didn't come back to check on us so we had to find them to get food remade—barely got an apology let alone any kind of accommodation! Fun games though and not too loud for so much going on.

Wifes salad was good, my pasta was not quite aldente, and the shrimp had no blackening season on it.
Very expensive in Biden economy for a dinner for 2!!!

An absolute waste of money. Almost nothing but rigged ticket games that are way overpriced. The food was decent, but also very expensive. There's a better arcade at the bowling alley down the street and Putts and Pins is on the other side of the mall. Gameday is further away, but more affordable and at least has pinball. If it weren't for the kind staff, I've give one star.

Parking: Shared with mall theatre, so can be tough to park.

Tldr: atrocious service for a massive price.

Purchased $50 on games card for my two boys. Several games didn't work and erroneously charged credits for games they didn't receive. Reported and received credit for perhaps one, not even sure the attendant didn't charge another credit.

Spent 20 on food and our friends spent 35 on 3 drinks (two beers and a mixed drink). Prices weren't listed. We then had 6 tickets short of 900 for a prize for one of the kids and they wouldn't let it go and offered to "give" us 100 tickets for $2.

Nasjier and staff were honestly terrible. This is not a place interested in repeat business and unfortunate, because the game screens are massive and I immediately considered coming back for NFL games and UFC fights. After today's experience it's a hard pass for me.

All the machines worked, John the manager was awesome, food was a lot better than the D&B by our house, cleaner than other locations.

Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggie options.

Parking: Parking wasn’t bad, lot can get full since people also park for the mall, but it wasn’t a struggle.

Kid-friendliness: It’s Dave & Busters. It’s an arcade with food and TVs. What else do you want?

We had an excellent celebration team event! Everyone had a blast and the food and beverage team were awesome! Special shout out to Mayra for providing exceptional customer service to our entire team!

I don't care for romaine lettuce they should offer iceberg as well. The ranch dressing was very good. It is noisy but that is the nature of the place. Lots of games to entertain you.
