The Cinnamon Swirl French Toast was outstanding and the hash browns and sausage were just as good. Being an Upper Midwest transplant from the South, I’m a little picky about biscuits and gravy and I’ll have to say the gravy needed a little more seasoning, but the biscuit was great. Overall, this was a super breakfast experience on our visit to Des Moines.

Never sure WHY I get their rarebit burger as perpetually disappointed! NEVER meets my expectations of Maxie's and former Younkers! No taste-never satisfying!! Hold an image in my mind but never will again. Flatline frozen crinkly fries ?

Ate here mid-afternoon on a Sunday. Place is huge, so we were seated immediately. Love the chrome and the neon—classic diner we wish we had in KC! Extensive menu, breakfast all day. Loved the potato pancakes, the local sausage and the shoestring-style onion rings. Service is top notch! Kevin was amazing. Thank you!!
