I love this place. Can't remember exactly what they're called, pizza puffs?, but they were great for an afternoon lunch. I've had many different menu items here. For the beer selection and the food, it's definitely worth your time if you're driving thru. I say that because people that live here already know it rocks.

I know kazillion isn't a real word, but El Bait Shop has a kazillion beers on tap. Also, ciders and mead and n/a options. Joe is obviously an incredibly awesome bartender!!! Seriously, he was so welcoming, friendly, and fun to talk to. I would definitely recommend the wings, but everything from High Life Lounge is awesome.
My wife and I were heading to Boone IA and decided to spend the night in Des Moines. I had eaten here 5 years ago and insisted we go back. The food was delicious and the service and atmosphere were great. I had the chicken pot pie and it was soooo good!! Wife had fish tacos and she thought they were excellent. Cool place and worth the trip.
