Always have a great experience anytime I go. The food is always hot and fresh and the staff is always super helpful when there are new drinks on the menu
Me and my underage friends were given drinks that contained alcohol. No one even nearby was over the age of 18, nevertheless 21. Should never be tolerated. Never going back.
Great place and food!
Was such a cool experience seeing a movie and being served dinner at the same time. The food was really good and servers are great!
Good beer selection. Helpful, friendly staff.
Service from Jason (?) was fantastic, he really knows beer/brewing! I had a Nebulas Hazy NEIPA which was great, and the burger and onion rings were great, too. I met Jack the brewer to discuss possibly getting some "sixtels" for our taproom in Cedar Rapids, and he was a really cool guy.
The movie experience has always been middle tier. People are louder because the environment reminds them of their living room where they can talk. I have accepted that is the style of this place.
I am writing this review because I have seen a significant drop in the quality of food. My favorite item for years was Mac and cheese with chicken and bacon. They would bring you out a nice sized dish of mac with bread crumbs and everything. Probably the best in town. Those days are in the past. I ordered a mac and cheese for $14.95, I received about 1/3 what they used to serve, I thought I had ordered a child's portion when it first arrived. They took up the rest of the plate with buttered toast.
Now when I pick a place to watch movies, I have to say, "do I want a good movie experience, but no food/beer. Or do I want a distracting movie experience with overpriced food and beer." Which is a shame, I used to really enjoy the full experience at Flix. Now, I think I can just rent at home if I want food and alcohol during a movie.
There always seems to be some sort of issue here. Yesterday they gave us our bill 25 minutes into the movie. Also if you get a commemorative cup there's no free refills. This place is so hit n miss. If they give you free tickets for a horrible weird experience, those tickets don't work when you go to use them.
If they made a point of telling people that they automatically add on tips for the mediocre food the experience would have been better. But hearing it after the fact, just makes it an expensive day at the movies.
Let me just say that my experience was just meh! They charge 18% gratuity which I think is absolutely ridiculous and they told me I had the ability to adjust that. I didn’t see the option online and during the movie the sound cut out for 10 minutes and we got no apologies, no partial refunds, they didn’t even replay it so all of us could hear what we just missed and it was Captain America!! You know how big these marvel movies are!
We paid more for these tickets than we would have at our local theater and our bill was over $100 easily! We spent a lot of money to see this movie and got a sub par experience!

Sunday was the 2nd time i took grandkids there. The first was great. This time the waiter Aidan took our order then asked for my payment. I asked how much it was and to come back my son was sending me more$. He stood there and waited for me to make my call which is rude. I told him to come back again. He left and did not take my card but a partial payment was taking out of $17.00 without my knowledge. Our order came out. Then here he comes. He said what my total bill was without a receipt. He was going to charge me the total $50 without the $17 off he said they could not have done it because he did not have my card. This whole time people are staring at my grandchildren and myself like we are interrupting their movie. I told him to go to manager or I would . He came back with a receipt and right amount. That was awful.
Another great experience. Food, service, beer, comfort, everything across the board. If you're really lucky, you'll get Jennifer - she's AMAZING. Friendly, courteous, helpful, genuine...can never say enough things about FLIX. Keep it up, yal!
We've been coming here for 4 yrs. and I hate to say it, but the quality of our experience has gone down the past year.
Dirty restrooms, dirty theater seats, and lagging enforcement of the no talking/phone policy. I do appreciate they will come if you make a complaint, but I wish they would police the aisles occasionally instead of having customers do the policing. Especially when it would be pretty obvious who the complainant was. If it were a busy weekend night, I'd be a bit more sympathetic to these issues my partner and I noticed, but it was a Tuesday night.
This place was a family favorite, but now it hardly seems worth the higher priced tickets and expensive food (which isn't too bad by the way, decent menu).
Waiters/waitresses are always nice.
Just wish there was less opportunity for disruptive viewers. A guy we complained turned on his phone flashlight to read his warning and his receipt at the climax end of the movie. I don't know if that can be helped, but the increase in disruptive customers is noticeable.
10/5/19 Update- food still good. Quiet no talking, no cell atmosphere is not really a thing . People still talk alot, even after reporting.
2/14/25- Things are better, but now very expensive. The food is pretty good, but the portions are small and expensive. The seats move, but just short of comfort. The sounds was quiet for an action movie too. It's a coin flip every experience.
Asked what the 18% was for
Snatched my card and said forget it
Then slammed my beer on the counter.
Like I said I will tip
But how much I want to tip not how much you tell me. Other countries find that rude!
This tipping thing in the United States is outta control.
You can’t just add what you want I am a crowd sir. 18% is ridiculous.
Comfy chairs, good food, tons of popcorn and drinks, what more could you ask for a movie theater? Flix is a great place to catch a movie, be it the first show in the morning or as a date night or a birthday party. Everyone had lots of fun and the popcorn is bottomless which is awesome
