The best brisket in the local Des Moines area. They cut it thick and flavorful. Mike was out in the dining room talking to the diners working to make it a fun environment. Don't sleep on Flying Mango. It's a hidden gem in the Beaverdale area.

This is the first time going here and let me tell you they hit it out of the park. Our server Lynn was fantastic and all the staff we interacted with were super nice. The food was outstanding! I can not wait to eat here again.

Parking: Although we had no trouble with parking, it is a very small lot and I can imagine at times it may be difficult.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp entrance.

Delightful spot that is bigger than it looks on the ousltside. Food was so good, delicious and catered to me and my grandson that is 2.5 yrs! Yes I took a toddler there due to extenuating circumstances, and it was fantastic. The entire staff was just fantastic!

Now for the food - the little guy and I shared a rib/brisket entrée with a red pepper and potato mash, brocoli medley (it was fresh), red beans and rice, and a cornbread. Ugh... took half home! Sooooo Good!

Thank y'all for getting us a table and the amazing hospitality!

I love this place and cannot wait to go back!

Food was extremely meh for the price. 2 drinks, 3 meals was $150… which wouldn’t be bad if the food was good. It was not. Cowboy beans and coleslaw were bland, brisket overpriced $38. Service was good but overall not impressed

We've been going here for years and love it. Mike and crew really knocked it out of the park! Try the spiced apples.

That Brisket was a trip towards spiritual enlightenment. Coleslaw and Cowboy beans always hit the spot. Park across the street. Get dessert to go. Fantastic service. The Smokey smell embraced me at the door

Great Cajun and BBQ menu. Everything was good. Brisket was cooked perfectly, ribs were tender and meat easily pulled from bone.
Sides were outstanding. The staff was friendly and attentive. Delicious dessert menu, the orange pie was the perfect ending to a wonderful dinner. Highly recommend.

Best smoked meat in town. Always great service. Low key and comfortable ambiance. A neighborhood gem and a real treat. Support local and try their brisket.
