I always have a wonderful experience at Freedom Blend. One of the best spaces in Des Moines for relaxation, connecting with friends, a peaceful environment, and an affective work space to get studying and work done.The drinks are delicious as well! Anything I order is amazing. Today I chose the Green Pastures drink which is matcha, steamed milk, vanilla and lavender and I love it!Grateful for this space and their mission.
I ordered food for our office meeting for 45 people. Because the meeting was early in the morning I picked the food up. They said the food would be ready at 7:30. I walked in and the pastries were waiting on the counter and the employees immediately went to the kitchen to get the hot foods. Everyone in the office enjoyed all the selections but especially liked the cinnamon rolls and the Freedom Wrap. Will definitely be ordering from this small but mighty place again!

We ordered a coffee flight (4 drinks) and a scone, the scone was really good but we waited 30 minutes and never got the coffee, went back and asked if it was being worked on they said they had lost the receipt in the pile and then found it, said they were going to work on it and bring it out. We waiting another 15 minutes and ended up leaving, weird experience. The place wasn’t busy either so it’s not like they were slammed with orders.

The customer service at Freedom is top notch!!! This place lives up to its name - Freedom. It's such a sweet spirit atmosphere when you enter into the environment. Thank you Freedom for such awesome service and frappe!!!
Freedom Blend is religiously affiliated and caught some attention in the media after Broadlawns hospital cancelled their contract because "some of the business's beliefs on marriage and sexuality are at odds with the hospital's diversity, equity and inclusion efforts." -DSM Register That being said, they have great coffee, great prices and kind staff. They refurbished an old car wash into a coffee house! The drive thru is very convenient. My only issue, and one the reasons for three stars, is because I only drink breves (coffee with half and half) and they inevitably run out of half and half by the end of the week. This happens regularly.
