Very cute spot for date night!
My husband and I came here for our anniversary and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is upscale but still cozy, with ambient lighting & modern design. I recommend the green velvet corner booth, if it's available. The staff were super friendly and attentive.

We ordered a lot of food, so here's our quick rating breakdown:
-crab cakes 10/10
-sensei sushi roll 10/10
-crunchy dragon roll 10/10
-vegan sushi roll 5/10 (needed v spicy mayo & was falling apart
-golden dragon street noodle 9/10 (it was a bit more curry tasting than I prefer but still delicious)

Loved seeing vegan options on the menu, I hope they expand these options so I can try new things when I come back. The espresso martini was excellent! They have soy milk, & mocktails!

Definitely recommend for a romantic date night, a special occasion, or just grabbing cocktails & apps with the girls!

We had a wonderful dinner here last night! We started with the Margherita flatbread, which was perfectly crispy and full of flavor. For our mains, we ordered the half lemon chicken and the Sensei sushi roll—both were absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. The service was outstanding from start to finish, making the entire experience even better. Highly recommend for a great meal and excellent hospitality!

My lovely bride and I are in town for a concert and accommodations were about 3 blocks from this restaurant. The walk was pleasant and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice.

My wife ordered the butternut squash salad and I ordered the Mediterranean Salmon.
Both dishes were spectacular and accompanied by a wonderful Sauvignon Blanc suggested by our waitress.

The food was exquisite in and of itself, but what made it an extra special evening was our waitress. (Elizabeth-Betsy). She made the night complete. She was very engaging, helpful & pleasant. Made us feel right at home.

Coffee and desserts completed the evening.

Fresko was next on our list for friend’s Friday. We made a reservation for our group of six. I don’t think about Fresko for sushi but three in our group did order the sushi and really enjoyed it. The only negative thing we observed was the waitress didn’t know how to pour a glass of wine. She dribbled all over the table with every glass pour, but otherwise she was good.

First time in Des Moines and it was beautiful. Brunch spot after visiting the state's Capitol. Biggest pancakes I've ever seen and the lemon ricotta pancake was zesting. I ordered the Short Rib Skillet and it was delicious...the potatoes could be cooked a little bit more to be tender and soft. Overall experience was great.

Decided to give this restaurant another chance. Food and service were much better. However, we were greeted by I think the world's rudest hostess. Maybe she was having a bad day though.

Katie Wiklund was TOP NOTCH!!! She is the bartender who is the most creative bartender I have ever met in my entire life. She gave me a plethora of drinks that made me sit there and think about my life in a positive way. The restaurant overall was great such a next level idea of a restaurant when looking at the menu and the creativity of the menu items. It took a VILLAGE to create this place and I honestly would rate this restaurant in my top 5 nation wide.

This is our first time in Des Moines and we stopped here for lunch. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. We first shared a seared sesame tuna, and it was simply delicious. Then, my husband ordered the burger and he gave it 7.5/10 but he loved the potatoes accompanying the dish. I ordered the golden dragon street noodle dish. It was tasty but I was unable to finish. The creamy coconut/peanut dressing was overpowering. Since we are here for four days, we may come back and try other dishes.

I had an omelette served with potatoes and a pancake.
Pancake was superb!;potatoes;delicious;omelette;hmmmmm yuck
Truly yuck
First off it was not an omelette just scrambled eggs with veggies no cheese
No flavor what so ever
The cooks need a refresher course in a proper omelette
Coffee was good
Staff was excellent to be commended
Would I visit again........yes
I always try to give a restaurant a second chance

Great place for gluten free options. One of my favorites is the Hippie Omelet. Spinach, basil, tomato jam and goat cheese. The sweet potato hash has onions, spinach and yellow squash. The gluten free pancakes are made with bananas, so good.
