This is our first time in Des Moines and we stopped here for lunch. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. We first shared a seared sesame tuna, and it was simply delicious. Then, my husband ordered the burger and he gave it 7.5/10 but he loved the potatoes accompanying the dish. I ordered the golden dragon street noodle dish. It was tasty but I was unable to finish. The creamy coconut/peanut dressing was overpowering. Since we are here for four days, we may come back and try other dishes.

Pancake was superb!;potatoes;delicious;omelette;hmmmmm yuck Truly yuck First off it was not an omelette just scrambled eggs with veggies no cheese No flavor what so ever The cooks need a refresher course in a proper omelette Coffee was good Staff was excellent to be commended Would I visit again........yes I always try to give a restaurant a second chance

Great place for gluten free options. One of my favorites is the Hippie Omelet. Spinach, basil, tomato jam and goat cheese. The sweet potato hash has onions, spinach and yellow squash. The gluten free pancakes are made with bananas, so good.

We ordered chicken sandwich, steak sandwich and lamb wrap. Wrap was very chewey since it was fat in the meat. Sandwiches were nothing special. For the amount of money we spent it was not worth it. The prices are high.

Really disappointed with the experience. My husband and I stopped in for late lunch on a Sunday while it was not too busy in the restaurant. We were seated at one of the high tops and waited around for 15 minutes without anyone coming over to greet us, give us water or take our order. Staff walked around multiple times but said nothing. Finally, we decided the wait was not worth it and left without ordering. This lack of basic hospitality is unacceptable, especially for a restaurant that presents itself as higher-end. If this is how they treat guests when it’s not even busy, I can’t imagine what it’s like when they are. Will not be returning.

Boy oh boy, this is the place! From the delectable appetizers to the main course to the wine selection, you cannot go wrong. We had the octopus and the Brussels sprouts, both incredible. The rib eye next was incredible! We had the red schooner and the vin zant, both fantastic wines! Anne and Kyle were amazing in completing our evening, thank you!

The menu boasted a refined and diverse array of offerings, and select dishes were both artfully presented and pleasing to the palate. Nonetheless, several elements detracted from the experience. Chief among them was the compulsory 20% gratuity automatically appended to the bill, which undermined the spirit of service-based appreciation. Additionally, the wait time for our elegantly composed, exquisitely curated entrées was excessively prolonged, testing the patience of both myself and my esteemed dining companions.

I honestly would have given this a 5 out of 5 stars had it not been for the lack of service we received. When the server was at our table they were absolutely amazing! But after we were seated, we sat there for 20 minutes before our server came and nobody even brought us water during that time. We actually contemplated getting up and leaving. After he gave us our drink order and took our meal order we never saw him again. He didn't even stop by and check to see if we were happy with our food. Perhaps they were busy but I've never had this happen before anywhere else. The location was perfect for us as we were staying downtown and it was a block away, and we walked there. Loved the vibe of the entire restaurant. There were so many food items I wanted to choose, it was hard to decide. I still would recommend and would definitely go again! Word to the wise- I would definitely recommend getting a reservation.
