Great coffee! I was visiting Des Moines and stopped by this shop and I think this should be something for Iowa. The staff were very friendly and the place has a good impression.

The best coffee shop in Des Moines. Baristas are always delightful and friendly. Coffee is the best, and new breakfast sandwiches are excellent. Thanks!!

Croissant was beautifully crafted. Smashed it in a matter of minutes. Lavender Earl Grey was amazingly good.

There is very little consistency at the 42nd street shop. My drink which should be straightforward as it's one of their featured drinks is always different, leading me to often have to order a second cold brew with no creamer to mix them. Today it tastes as though there was zero vanilla syrup or vanilla in their vanilla cream cold brew.
I love the cold brew, I live close, I unfortunately never get the same drink as the previous time, often not what I want in my coffee- too milky, too sweet, weirdly today...not sweet at all.

Haven't seen the regular baristas in awhile. Really miss Adam. The coffee isn't worth it if the community isn't there.

I like this place because the guy I usually see makes me a London Fog the way I like it even though it’s not on the menu any more. I would not recommend their chai but the coffee and London Fog are pretty good.

Came here at someone's suggestion. Coffee was good, albeit too syrupy. I will order my lattés with half or no flavor next time.
Went in to get a nitro brew. I bought it and gave a tip, then the manager came out and unapologetically stated they were out of it, and asked what I wanted…I said “I guess a grande cold brew”, then, he actually said “That’s FAIR, it is a similar price…” The nerve of this guy and unprofessional haughtiness were appalling. What is fair is cancelling the transaction and starting over. Any business worth their salt would then offer something for free. He acted like a con man waving me away while they technically stole from me. I will take my coffee business elsewhere to a place that has better beans and caring service and I recommend you do the same.

Americano and service were very good. I had a playful interaction with the barista. I ordered a pound of their Columbian. I originally asked for the House Blend and then changed my mind. He then struggled to get it right in the system. The back and forth was fun and he noted it on the bag of coffee.
