If you into dive bars, bar food, and great service check out Gerris. They are know for their wings so that is what I went with. One sauce option but it was good. Not too spicy, kind of like frank hot sauce with some butter mixed in. Wings were huge. Cheese balls were good. Food was fast and service was on point. One female working the entire room and she killed it. Drinks never got empty.
It didn't seem very welcoming upon arrival, I sat myself. The atmosphere is dark, however, it is a bar so that's kind of expected. The wait staff/ bartenders were decent. The wings they rave about were good because I personally like them cooked hard/well-done like that. If you like a softer wing or have dental deficiency, leave the wings alone. The overall experience was okay enough to return.
These used to be the best wings in the state without a doubt. Is about 15 years ago.They slightly changed the recipe... still quite likely the best wings around, but not quite the kick they had when they first built their reputation. Still delicious. Only issue is that since covid they have such short hours. Been my wing go-to for 25 years!
