Grounds for celebration is an amazing coffee shop! It is my wife and I’s weekly date spot. She loves the rotating local art and the local scones, I love the friendly staff and the wonderful owners! Ryan, Abby, and Jules are so great!

I really love that this coffee shop is a community staple in Beaverdale. You see people of all ages gathering here. I know everyone comes for their great coffee but I strongly believe they have the best ice tea in the Des Moines Metro. Seriously is so good. The staff are always warm and welcoming!
Also a fireplace. That’s worth five stars any day.
The man at the counter (owner?) was rude. He acted as if it was an inconvenience to take orders—he reminded me of the soup nazi in Seinfeld.

Their use of styrofoam cups always makes me feel a little icky and guilty when getting a hot beverage. Could use some acoustic paneling for noise to make the atmosphere more cozy. Beverages are always good but the food is not something I would recommend going for.
