I heard about Hot Tamale on the news and had to try it for myself. Talk about delicious. I ended up going back twice in the same week so that I could get tamales for my family and friends. We liked the pork best and the green salsa was fantastic. Highly recommend if you are on the south side.

Nice hole in the wall Mexican restaurant in the CashSaver! The breakfast burrito was huge and delicious, perfect for breakfast or lunch.
Do not order their catering you will get burned 100 times over. Honestly! They will show up late and/or the wrong place, and they will forget food. In our case she and her team showed up over an hour late in open toed shoes without the main entrees. No tamales just chips and rice. This of course will all be blamed on you even when you have a contract in place with no refund. Please please trust me and do not order their catering. We supported Angie when she was still in her driveway. The tamales are good, but this was unforgivable.
Edit: I'm sorry you don't remember me, but I'd still like a refund lol.
We have been eating Angie‘a food for a long time! Some of the best tamales around! I’m shocked at some of the reviews, because she has great food! She also supports schools and students who may be hungry!
If you have a problem with her food, go to her first. I’m sure she will make it right before you need to post a negative review.

I ordered delivery, and my order was fried gizzards, whole pinto beans, and Mac n cheese. I was happy to find that I could get delivery from here. I heard fave reviews on this place. I liked the gizzards, but I wish they were in a box to keep them crispy. The bag traps in the moisture. The pinto beans were perfect. The mac n cheese is a bit dry. I prefer a more creamy style, but it was cheesy. I definitely will be ordering again. Lots to try on the menu.
