4.10.2024 1107 E Army Post Rd, Des Moines, IA 50315 Stopped in at the can/bottle redemption area. Walked in with my cans and was told that the redemption area closed at 2p. I thought HyVee was a full service store with a smile in every aisle. No where online or the HyVee website do I see a time listed for the redemption area closing at a certain time. I wasted $3 or more in gas driving there and missed out spending time with my family. I decided not to even shop inside after all this. Maybe the store closes at 2p also??

2 people offered to help me find my items. I needed them to suspend my transaction until my card got there and they didn't put it in the freezer but I had asked for 20 minutes and it had only been 10 so I think that's OK. I saw two managers while I was there, which is really nice to see them on the floors working. One of them greeted me. Cashier and bagger were friendly. so yeah I don't know what's going on at HyVee on army post but I like it. Also liquor store guy was friendly last time I went through

The food and service was very good. The person that was assigned to clean the dining area did a wonderful job, everything was perfectly clean. The reason why I didn't give it 5 stars was because the AC didn't seem up to par but it was comfortable enough to have an enjoyable meeting.Vegetarian options: A very wide selectionWheelchair accessibility: Plenty of seating

Service is terrible. Customer service is great at ruining a customer's day. Rude rude rude. Careful or you'll get falsely accused of shoplifting

Simple process and quite the options. We went in for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Order at the counter and they bring the food to you.Breakfast choices included omelets, pancakes, skillets, biscuits & gravy, plus a lot more.We shared an omelet and biscuits. Crazy big and awesome portions. We loved the fried potatoes. It was $25. There was enough food for 4, plus leftovers.Kid-friendliness: Items for all ages.Parking: Generous parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: Nice wide aisles and doorways.

This location isn't the worst. I have definitely seen worse and better. Only a little dirty just needs attention more attention. Majority of the Employees are helpful and pleasant. What I don't understand is how a store can constantly run out of things. It's not too terribly much, however they are constantly out of stock of 15-20 things. Maybe I'm just jealous someone else got to the White Castle burgers before me. The liquor area keeps strange hours, however that could just be a normal thing on the South Side of Des Moines, IA. All in all I have only had a couple of bad experiences shopping here. The Hy-Vee Market Fresh restaurant has great burgers, cheese curds and more. I would definitely say grab a bite. The people there are normally upbeat and I enjoy the little chats and laughs. I actually enjoy my trips to Hy-Vee as it's on almost a daily basis lol.

HyVee deli is a long-term Iowa tradition and has never wavered. Always good.

My family lives in a suburb and the nearest grocery store is this Hy-Vee location. I have to say, for still having to drive nearly 20 minutes to get here, the options are pitiful. There are next to no vegan options in any food category. As a corporation, I would have expected more accommodations for a wider array of people.

The food is good but be prepared to wait a looooooooooooong time.

This is a review of the food court within HyVee. It was exceptional! I wish more grocery stores had extensive food courts available. I can't believe my client JUST recommended this after a 15 yr partnership. I was overwhelmed with the selection of foods from typical American to Asian, Italian...something for everyone! This food court is the size of what you see in a shopping mall. I had the two piece fried chicken meal with hash browns and Brussel sprouts. The fried chicken (I chose wing and thigh) was crispy, moist, and seasoned well. I loved the two sides as well, all for $11 with a fountain drink. The portion sizes were huge and I couldn't even finish. There is an enclosed seating area, like a banquet room, with booths and tables available to sit and eat. It was so nice being able to hear a conversation instead of the sounds of a grocery store. Very clean, well stocked, and a person available to clear the table after you are finished. I HyVee recommend eating here.
