The food was amazing and service was good. We ordered some Vegetarian dishes on the menu and they were extremely flavorful.

I didn't expect the place to be good one looking at the rating, but it turned our to be good actually. I loved the food, felt like authentic indian dishes. Price is also very reasonable. Naan is very tasty! I would love to visit again.

Everything was delicious. The rice was cooked perfectly! Naan was soft and warm. It smelled so good and looked so delicious, I had no second to waste taking a picture. Sorry! Just had to eat!!

We started off our meal with samosas which were hot and delicious, I also ordered mulligatawny soup which was very good but honestly I've had better (this was the only negative). We ordered tandoori chicken (which I'd never had before) chicken tikka masala and chicken shahi korma and all of these were spiced perfectly and very flavorful. For our bread we ordered puri and roti. Both were very good and a nice change from naan. We ended our meal with gulab jamun which was we felt the best we'd ever had. I also ordered a mango lassi which was SO GOOD and it was a perfect compliment to the spicy food. The restaurant was very clean (even the bathroom) and the service was good. In a scale of 1-5 we give India Star 4.7.We also liked that the menu was not overly complicated and their prices were extremely reasonable! We both took home leftovers so we had PLENTY of food.

Perhaps it was a slow night, I had to ask for plates and utensils after food was served on the table. Most pieces of a full order of tandoori chicken were burnt. Brought it to the server’s attention but to no avail. They didn’t even bother to offer another option. Just acknowledged.

I don't like Indian food and didn't like what I ordered, but I'm basing my rating on what my companions thought. They all loved it and thought it was wonderful. The restaurant was empty when we went, except for some to-go orders. The young man who assisted us was friendly and patient, although we had to wait a little longer than I would like at times.Vegetarian options: I didn't pay attention, but one person in our group ordered a vegetarian dish and thought it was good. Looked like they had a section of the menu labeled vegetarian.

My husband and I have been going to India Star for over 30 years, way back to when they had the little white building on Ingersoll! Indian food is my FAVORITE food and I've eaten Indian all over the country. All Indian food we eat is always compared to our "I-Star Meter". As good as India Star Almost as good but not the same Decent Indian food but more like fast food Are they even Indian?? Very few get the ! India Star, the Indian restaurant that all other Indian Restaurants are compared to.
