Isla Del Pacifico is one of my favorite restaurants in Des Moines - authentic, fresh food always served hot. Staff is super friendly and a nice variety of drinks. Plenty of parking. My favorite menu item is the Red Snapper Garlic style.

Currently, this is my absolute favorite restaurant in Iowa. They have the tastiest shrimp cocktail and my favorite are the shrimp empanadas from the appetizer section of the menu. My husband loves virtually anything they serve. I can overlook that it isn't fancy and sometimes the service is a little uncoordinated when you end up with such amazing food. Food was on point, so many options to choose from. There are very few authentic mariscos restaurants and this is definitely one of them. Waiter was attentive and food came out really fast and this was on a busy holiday weekend.
