This was our first time coming here. We bought 2 key lime tarts, a rhubarb Danish, a cherry danish, a blueberry danish, and a vanilla cream filled puff. All of it is so good.

Butter, butter & more butter. Everyone needs to exercise restraint when it comes to this place. I visit only once or twice per week and would go more often if I could. Breakfast, cappucino and pastries are outstanding. French cooking with butter, a la Julia Child’s. They also sell Italian dishes for home that need a little bit extra salt and pepper for more of a flavor punch, but with authentic home type recipes that are healthier than your average big factory manufacturing

This is a legit hidden gem in Des Moines. The best bakery I have been to in the city. That pistachio croissant changed my life. Seriously. 10/10 would recommend.

Cool vibe! Kind staff! Delicious food! Our go to for pastries, savory breakfast, homemade soups and sandwiches, beautiful cakes and macarons and takeout for delivery to friends for celebrations. Love me some LaMie!!

Overheard owner/management yelling at employees while dinning in. There’s a time and place. Very unprofessional

The first time I went here was late on a Saturday. They were out of most things so I didn't understand the hype. I went on a Tuesday and OMG! I got breakfast pizza, spinach and cheese croissant, cheese and blueberries croissant, a peach and cheese croissant, and a espresso brownie.

I was blown away by the selection. This is definitely the best bakery in Des Moines.
